This is an ideal gift for any child in the family.

Well, it's actually quite depressing to call _The Little Mermaid_ a Disney classic, but since it's been 24 years, it's time. I was two when this movie came out and I have always loved it! The script, songs, voices, and animation are all wonderful. It's also great to finally see this movie in blu-ray format. Like the _Beauty and the Beast_ blu ray, _The Little Mermaid_ looks fabulous. The colors are gorgeous! I haven't gotten a chance to watch the features yet, but they don't look overly spectacular. The deleted character feature looks cool, though. Anyway, I recommend this movie for all millennials who grew up pretending to be Ariel! Kids and adults of all ages can enjoy this marvelous Disney film (which reestablished Disney's prominence in the film world). Highly recommended.

I had not seen this movie since I was a kid, but it holds up very well, aside from a few things here or there. The 4K disc, on the other hand, easy must-own.

The movie reminded my wife and I of our childhood and seeing it in HD was fantastic. In this day and age of high tech this movie grabbed my kids attention.

This film kicked off the famed studio's 2nd Golden Age. This was Disney's last fully hand-animated feature, and the style and heart is reminiscent of the older classics. The tale itself comes from an old fable, as did most of the early Disney gems. This is my wife's favorite Disney movie, and without it, we probably would have never had The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, Lilo & Stitch, etc, and Pixar would probably never have materialized. Today we take the art of animation for granted, but back in 1989, animated films were few and far between, and the ones that did exist were rather bland. I would highly recommend The Little Mermaid to anyone with wee ones, or who simply loves well-presented animated stories.

Classic Disney animated film, updated with excellent 4K picture and sound. Perfect way to introduce a new generation of children to the story.

The transfer is great and the music is immersive! Can not wait to watch the remake! But for now, it’s time to sing along to the OG :)

This has always been one of my favorite Disney movies, and everybody knows it, but WOW...what a difference in 4K and HD Sound.

It's the same movie as the original one just updated colors and pixel count. So if you liked it then you'll like this version.

Perhaps the height of the Disney Animation Renaissance, The Little Mermaid still shines with this glorious HD release on Blu-Ray. The movie has some of the best songs ever written for a Disney musical and it is a blast to hear them in crisp detail as curated on this disc. This quintessential Disney movie is incredibly re-watchable for all ages and will most likely earn a place in the homes of Disney movie collectors as a must-have.

I won't going to too many details about the film because if you don't know what this movies about you're probably in trouble! However I want to focus on the 3-D version of this movie. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the 3-D in this film. Don't get me wrong, it's not the greatest 3-D you've ever seen but my expectations were pretty low going into this movie especially when you consider Disney's hit or miss ability to remastered these films. You can tell that there was some effort put into the 3-D version and there's some pretty good parts throughout the film to take advantage of this, others are just depth. Again I'm not saying this is one of the best 3-D films of all time. It's good considering Disney's track record of 3-D on these remastered films. If you have some gift cards or certificates that you're looking to use up you might want to invest them in this film and up being a bargain!

Beautiful steelbook of my wife's childhood favorite. She was thrilled that I picked up this piece of nostalgia for her.

Bought as a surprise gift for my 28 year old daughter. Her favorite movie, so I guess I'm in her good graces for bit.

Love Mermaids and Grand daughter keeps singing the songs thru the house....that is getting a bit irritating...lol
