Not much to say than it's the whole extended LOTR trilogy and much better quality than the DVD version. A 4k version is supposed to be coming out in 2021 and I considered waiting but glad I didn't because Bluray quality is quite good enough for me even on a 130" Projected picture on my gray wall.

My kids and I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Every year we sit down for a few days and watch the entire trilogy, starting first with The Hobbit and then moving on to the LOTR. The 4K Blu-ray transfer is spectacular. The additional features are also enjoyable to watch. I highly recommend it!

This is it, the definitive collection of the epic Lord of the Rings movies. If you had missed out on the awesome DVD extended collection with the novel styled DVD cases, you won't be disappointed when you find that they have done pretty much the same with this set, just smaller packaging. Boasting better picture and sound, plus all the extras you could want, this is certainly worth the money.

So all the extended edition movies in blu-ray format with a nice case. This is exactly what I was looking for and got a good deal on it as well. I had watched the theatrical version on a streaming service and was let down because of the lack of content. The extended editions are much better in my opinion.

I have always loved these movies so when I ran across them in store for a great price I couldn't pass them up. I have probably watched each movie over a dozen times and I still find myself wanting to watch them again. I really liked the fact that these were the extended cuts of each film.

I went in to get replacements for my DVDs, of these moves, and was pleased when told that Bluerays Existed. The Set said it was avalable on there computers, and the staff helped me to find the misslaied box-set. I coulden,t have been happyer with Ither my service, or the Product. Oh and the HD & 26+ hours of Extras, make the box set well worth an actualy not too high PPrice (At least for me at the Time).

Alright so it doesn't have the elaborate case the DVD version has, so what, you probably already have like I do. It's movies like this that make Blu-ray so cool, combine the stunning graphics and visuals with amazing sound and clarity and you see how something that was already great can get new life. Just gives you another reason to have that back-to-back marathon of the extended movies all over again.

Not only do you get the definitive version of the movies, but you also get an astounding amount of behind the scenes information, anecdotes and truly funny moments from the cast and crew. If you don't own these films, act now and get them. You will not be disappointed!

Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy is an unquestioned masterpiece. The extended editions build on what were already fantastic films. The sound and picture quality of these blu rays is magnificent and this set is loaded with in depth bonus material. Can't recommend enough.

If you've read the books or just love the films and would like more details then you have to watch this version. Each movie is 4 hours long full of details you'll know if you've read the books and add depth if you haven't. If you're just wanting to get the basic idea of the story then the 2 hour theatrical version is for you.

Having watched the trilogy originally on VHS then to DVD now the Blu-Ray extended edition. Mind blown!!! The movie is definitely longer then the theatrical version of it. But totally worth it!!! Seeing everything was very crisp there are moments you can tell the green screen work from the practical effects, but it doesn't take you away from the overall enjoyment.

Yep! Love this story! When I was 11 or 12 I saw this story told via animation with all the blood and guts but and I was hooked. So was all over the live action version in 2003. So now the 4K version and beaming HiDef tv and boom the magic is back! Well I messed and jumped on the versions that were around so my collection was all over the road. So with this buy after two decades And the robbery and loss of my original dvd collection I up graded these movies to blue ray and all consistent formats and it’s all good!!!!

I had owned the multi-disc extended DVD set of these films and purchased the blu-ray set when I saw the price drop to about $50. Since I was able to turn around and sell the DVD set for about what I paid for the blu-ray set, it was really a no-brainer. Compared to the extended dvd set, there was an improvement sound and video quality... although I wouldn't say it was earth shattering.

I Wanted to have access to all of the behind-the-scenes 'making-of' video and interviews. The making of all 3 movies at one long period of time was pretty inovative, IMHO. Last year my wife and I visited New Zealand but did not make it to the North island where a good portion of the Lord Of the Rings was filmed. We want to go see the North Island locations where some of the series was shot.

I own the original three DVDs, the extended version set of DVDs, and now the extended version Blu-ray set. It's like going back to the theater to see the movies all over again. The video quality is awesome and the sound is phenomenal. The added extras are pretty cool too. Highly recommend this set to fans of the trilogy!

Gorgeous picture and sound on Blu-ray. All the extended versions of the 3 movies bring the stories to life. Have not had a chance tp watch the extra discs yet on the making of the movies burt sadly they are presented in standard DVD format discs.

You definitely don't want to miss owning this on Blu-ray Disc, it has the best picture and sound quality and the extended edition has much more content than the theatrical releases with hundreds of hours of bonus material from behind the scenes. It's worth every penny if you like to watch how the films were made.

If you’re looking to get “The Lord of the Rings” on blu-ray, then this is the set for you. It’s got a great price and not only does it include the Extended Editions of director Peter Jackson’s classic trilogy, it has all of the behind-the-scenes appendices as well!

I originally owned the full extended trilogy on DVD, and watched them to death. After upgrading to Blu Ray, I decided to repurchase the collection, not expecting anything new. Was I ever wrong! Even in 1080p, the details that the crafters put into the production are so much more visible, it is like experiencing the whole story anew.
