There were a couple of condition issues with the packaging, and that could be why it was the last one remaining in the store warehouse. Some of the corners of the box were dented, and inside the individual blu-ray cases there was broken plastic. Fortunately, the broken plastic did not appear to scratch the discs. As for the movies, what's left to say about LOTR that hasn't already been said. The extended versions make for a long viewing session, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

The case for the movies is very cool. It has some really nice artwork on it and it is sturdy. The extended edition lord of the rings is the way to GO. If you have not seen the extended versions than this is a must buy for sure.

I love these movies from beginning to end. It differs from the book a bit but Peter Jackson does a great job of adapting into onto the big screen. I cried in my sleep picturing myself as Sam Gamgee carrying Frodo through the Sammath Naur to destroy the One Ring. Overall, it was a beautiful and wonderful film.

There is a serious curse on this box set. My roommate and I both bought this box set within a couple of years from one other and for some unknown reason, his copy didn’t even have The Two Towers in his set (instead he got 2 Return of the Kings) and my copy of the Two Towers was damaged beyond fixing. I love this film trilogy and it breaks my heart that this is the standard that I have to abide by from a great company such as Warner Bros.

I would highly recommend this set for lovers of the film. However, i would recommend it to those who've read the books and the silmarillion even more. Many of the extended scenes smooth gaps in the plot and pay further homage to tolkiens series that Peter Jackson couldn't keep in the movies.

Great box set and amazing price. So many hours of added content & special features for LOTR fans! An absolute must buy at Best Buy!

Always great movies to watch. Very long so make sure couch is very comfortable and plenty of popcorn, snacks and whatever you drink. Deleted scenes added to the movie while watching it

This collector's edition is what all LOTR fans need. All 3 extended movies, director's commentary, actors commentary, design team commentary, and 28 hours of BTS footage

Looks great and it's exactly what we wanted. Thought about getting the 4K version but we don't plan on upgrading TVs anytime soon and we were mostly interest in having the extended content which is great.

Greatest movie series ever produced in the history of Mankind. There are no titles that are more admired by anyone, let alone better acted in by anyone. All of the Fellowship shall live forever in my head!

The HD looks amazing and makes the bigger scenes pop. The box set is also made well, sturdy, and beautiful. Each movie is stored in their own cases which means that the discs aren’t stored in flimsy disc holders.

The must have for any LOTR fan! I bought this for my wife and we have watched the whole thing at least 3 times now. If you or someone you know loves LOTR, get this box set!

Amazing movies. The soundtrack, the cinematography. It is more than 30 minutes of additional scenes in each movie. Some doesn't forward the plot, but some gives the character more meaning in their actions. If you love LOTR, it is a good investment.

Hours and hours of footage of extra scenes and behind-the-scenes video. I have the same extended version on regular dvd but when blu-ray came out, we had to have it. There were small details I have never seen before in the movie that I cannot make out on regular dvd so I was happy all around.

When it comes to fantasy, Peter Jackson knocks it out of the park with this series that stands the test of time. I've loved the books since I was little and Jackson has definitely done Tolkien a solid with his vision.

The picture quality is fantastic and a great way to revisit this fantastic trilogy. I’m not a huge fan of the case compared to the original cases for the extended to editions, but overall I would give this set 4.7/5

I am a huge lord of the rings fan and I have been looking for the trilogy on blue ray for awhile now. Best Buy has this set on sale and I could not pass it up. The improvement in picture and sound was amazing.

This is the most complete LOTR movie set you can purchase. Not only does it include the extended visions of the movies that were not released in theatres but it also includes tons of hours of behind the scenes content. This is the worth every cent and belongs in every movie lovers library.

As far as I'm concerned, these three movies rank among the very best of all time. This box set is spectacular, what with all the extra goodies, so if you're a real Tolkien or LOTR nerd like us, you'll definitely enjoy the 20-some hours of extras. This is totally worth the money.

Been a while since I watched this series, and COVID-19 has given our family the perfect excuse. Couldn't beat the sale price either. Bought the Hobbit as well and are watching the entire series during quarantine.
