I personally would rather watch the extended versions over the theatrical releases and maybe there is a bigger and better box set out there but for the average to above average fan this is the box set for you.

Love these films so much. I grew up watching LOTR and the extended additional but over the years lost some of the DVDs. Super glad now that I am an adult I can see them in all their splendor on Bluray.

I loved these movies, but only ever had them on DVD. The Blu-Ray pack comes in a box with all of the discs. Plus, the movie looks so much better on Blu-Ray. I can't recommend enough!!!

The Lord of the rings trilogy in blue ray and extended version, what else could I say? this trilogy has been my favorite for 20 years.

I had the DVD extended set for years, and finally got around to buying the blu-rays. As expected, picture and sound quality are immaculate. Set aside 13 hours or thereabouts to watch this straight through...

If you are a LOTR fan this is a must own. The movies look fantastic, the extended scenes fill in many of the gaps, and the appendices are worth the entire price!

Excellent value at this price. If you’re a fan of the LOTR trilogy you owe it to yourself to get this! You won’t be disappointed

Would still buy it for what I paid so it was good for the value. This is also the last time I am buying this series. If they find a way to get your favorite movies implanted in the brain (or any other upgrade), I will pass.

Still trying to get through all 15 discs; great insight as to how the movie was adapted from the book(s); very entertaining and informative, and the deleted scenes fill in a lot of the gaps in theatrical versions.

The lord of the rings is by far my favorite trilogy to watch over and over, I know this theses movies by heart and with the extended version it's even much better, I recommend this epic to everyone

Well what can I say other than this is one of the best trilogies out there and so to have it in bluray extended edition is even better. Over how many hours of hidden scenes and extras.

Magnificent trilogy. If you have only watched the original theatrical cuts, I highly recommend you see the extended editions!

I appreciated that after upgrading from the DVD special edition set, that this Bluray special edition set had an extra disc of footage not in the DVD set.

if you're a fan of this series it's a mo brainer you have to het this although the bonus features aren't bluray the feature film is still stellar!

This is my fist extended edition that I have purchased. Extra scenes and LOTS of bonus features! Worth every penny!! Buy it!

This is a great edition of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but be prepared to have either an intermission during each movie, or to sit through a marathon 4+ hour session for each one. LOTS of extra scenes.

Not perfect, but since you can't get the Appendices on the newer 4K editions, this will do. Video quality is good overall, minus the greenish tint. Audio is definitely a weak point for this set, the sound stage feels small and the highs are a bit tinny. Still, it's nice to have this classic trilogy in HD.

The first movie of the trilogy and enjoyed it immensely it is the first portion of the trilogy of the hobbits and explains a lot that I did not understand while watching the hobbits

Have been looking for a complete bluray set of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. This comes as a beautiful set/case and the extra behind the scenes disks are an added benefit. - Good Price and delivered right on time.

If you liked the books you will love the movies! On Blu-ray the picture, sound and color is fantastic. It is like watching these movies for the first time.
