The first movie of the trilogy and enjoyed it immensely it is the first portion of the trilogy of the hobbits and explains a lot that I did not understand while watching the hobbits

I purchased this set to upgrade My Lord of the Rings collection from DVD to Blu Ray since I was upgrading my TV to 4K. Package looks nice, I haven't played the Disk yet.

Love this pack that comes with original 3 films and there extended cuts. Excellent picture and sound!!!

If you liked the books you will love the movies! On Blu-ray the picture, sound and color is fantastic. It is like watching these movies for the first time.

Have been looking for a complete bluray set of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. This comes as a beautiful set/case and the extra behind the scenes disks are an added benefit. - Good Price and delivered right on time.

And I will be keeping them for sentimental reasons... The blu-ray however, will be the ones I watch from now on. Fantastic visuals and wonderful behind the scenes extras.

Already had this movie. My grandson moved to Colorado, called me and asked if I would PLEASE send it to him. I did, but bought another set for me!

I already own 2 different versions of the Extended Edition DVDs. While this Blu-ray set is not as beautiful-looking as the DVD sets, it was a necessary upgrade for me, since I now have a large-screen HDTV.

My wife is obsessed with these movies. So is my Sister-in-Law. I grabbed this for her as a Christmas Gift. Excellent purchase.

A must have collection for any middle earth fans. I previously had the collection on dvd but the difference on blu ray is astounding.

Must have for any fan. They add more detail to the story. After watching the long edition i can not watch the regular edition.

I bought to replace my extended editions on DVD once I upgraded to an HDTV. The difference is amazing and worth it, especially if you have coupons and or discounts when this is marked down to $55.

What needs to be said other than it’s 9+ hours of greatness for the whole extended greatness that is the lord of the rings.

LOR is one of my favorite movies of all time! I think the price is fair and the video quality is pretty good as well. I recommend.

The additional scenes add so much to the story and character stories. Without these extra scenes so much of the movie is missing!

Excellent for the Lord of the Rings fan. All the extras and extended version for hours of returning to Middle Earth.

If your looking for a great story and something to take up a couple days of your time this is it. The bonus content is worth it as well.

Without a doubt, the Lord of the Rings films truly do justice to Tolkien's writings, bringing his words to the silver screen, Great to have the 3 films bundled on to one disc.

While I prefer the theatrical cuts, this set comes with so much great material that it's worth the cost no matter what. While none of it is new, having these movies in great HD is a treat.
