I am a huge fan of the LOTR movies and this collection is life! Any one that loves these movies like I do should definitely have this in their collection.

A must own for all LOR fans. The EXTENDED version has everything. Really. I'm surprised they didn't include conversations with Tolkien himself. You get the point. Now buy it!

I finally upgraded my Extended Edition LOTR to Blurays, and I could not be happier with them. The set is compact, which makes my shelves happier than the bulky DVD set.

This is my husband's favorite movie and now that he has it on Blu-Ray his collection is complete for LOTR. I am so glad Best Buy had this just in time for our Anniversary.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. I have no intentions of watching it with him, but he was excited ;) The price at Best Buy was half the price of competitors.

Once you watch the extended editions, the shorter versions just won't cut it anymore.

It's great to see the extended footage! This is such a great film. Any fan will love the extras. Just make sure you have time on your hands if you plan to watch in one setting.

The movie series was obviously a labor of. Love and the movies reflect that. Very well done , very entertaining, extended versions are the ones to see. Just watch and enjoy!

Great collection of the extended version. Note the special discs are dvd and not blu rays like the movies.

If you have little to no free time I do NOT recommend you purchase this set as there are tons and tons of hours of extras and both versions of the films in this set.

The video quality is great, complementing an already great series of movies. The extended versions of these movies really adds some depth to the stories.
