    This is the perfect blu ray set of LOTR. Looks amazing in HD and has so many more scenes than the standard version. LOVE IT!

    I bought this because it has the full blu-ray quality of the extended editions of LOTR. The quality is amazing, much better than the DVD version it replaced. The review is 4 star because the additional 9 discs of commentary and making-of is not valuable to me. I'd rather have just the movies themselves.

    By being the extended edition, these movies explain a lot more about the characters' background stories, which is very nice.
