This is the best trilogy of all time if you haven't seen it you must its that good.

I thought the regular movie was long but this one is even longer.

The only thing better than lord of the rings, is lord of the rings on blu ray. Very Cinamatic. Set in New Zealand (middle earth) a great plot. very entertaining over 9 hours of movie, and countless extras.

This is a must own trilogy set especially the blu ray.

Got to say, the Box really made out of strong Material and I think for $52.50 really worth my money.

6 blu rays and 9 regular DVDs wtf! Why are their DVDs in a bd set why with 6x the compasetythat is bd are the movies split up? I did get it for $45 on the daily deal

Extended scenes fill in gaps in story...hi def is a must!!

I'm going to be calling Best Buy to see if I can get this exchanged or refunded. I'm not sure if this Green Tint problem is plagued with ALL copies of this Extended Bluray edition or if it has been fixed. From what I've been reading, it is not fixed and there are no signed of it being fixed. Due to this, I am going to try to return it and wait until the 6 box hobbie+lotr bluray extended version comes out. Hopefully by then, they remove this tint. I would not recommend purchasing this. Of course, there are people with lower standards that may not care. If you're one of those people, I'd say buy it! They are great movies and I wish they were not ruined so that I could justify keeping them.

I am kind of disappointed of this released version, I thought since is a blu-ray edition and blu-ray disc had a storage capacity greater than DVD disc, the studios will fix the whole extended edition in just one blu-ray disc per each movie and not like they did with the DVD versions that is cut in two parts. The cut is exactly at the same part of the movie that on the DVD version, I feel like I just got the DVD version with a blu-ray label. Sound and picture are great and the extras are fine DVDs are fine too.

I don't understand, why in the h*ll is this 15 disc? It is nice that it isn't the recomended $120, but with so many releases of these films, all I want is the EE of the films. This should be no more than 3-5 discs. Put each movie on one BD (maybe the ROTK on two) and scrape the special features. How much can they possibly be different then the special features that everyone has already paid for in other sets, plus they are on DVD, not BD!!! I will wait (EVEN LONGER) till they get just an EE BD movie only release. Why waste money on cr@p I already have?
