Small gripe, I was really hoping that this would be the set that would have the films appear in just one disc but alas the extended films must be too large in file size! Still one of the best film trilogies to ever grace my screen and I would recommend them to anyone in an instant.

One of my favorite movie series of all time now remastered in a magnificent 4K edition. These film looks so good in 4K. Running a marathon of the extended editions as we speak.

Masterpiece and gold standard of how epic movies should be filmed - in UHD quality, best pictures and sound which streaming services just can’t give you - so what are you waiting for? :)

Absolutely worth every penny. My DVD extended editions finally gave up the ghost, so I needed a new copy of the trilogy. I was initially unsure about 4K, but it's visually stunning. If you have a 4K UHD tv and love Lord of the Rings, I would highly recommend purchasing this.

These movies look amazing. One of the discs had a slight skip on part of the movie. Watching this in Dolby Vision on my OLED with Atmos was like seeing it for the first time again.

Noting how CG heavy these are, the 4K transfer looks amazing. And the atmosphere of sound is some of the most amazing I’ve heard on my home theater. When the ring finger is cut off in the opening battle scene, we could feel the sound wave matching the visual. Crazy good!

All the films look beautiful and far better than their Blu-ray counterparts. Coloring is significantly better with the HDR. Nice to get both regular and extended editions. Online downside is the lack of special features if you’re into those. Otherwise a perfect set.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is movie a collection that tells of a battle between good and evil. I have seen these movies before but never in order just here and there. The collection is in Ultra HD and looks and sounds great.

Just incredible. The transfer is gorgeous and the sound is equally strong. I’ve always had issues with sound effects and music overpowering the dialogue even with constant tweaking of my sound system settings, but not the case here. Highly recommended.

LOTR in 4k! Simply a yes! What a way to end the year! Thanks for this ! Love it. Simply marvelous! 9+hour marathon here we come! Gotta say.. this movie trilogy is a must.. especially for the pandemic time we are in right now.. hope is one of the many themes for sure.

Looks amazing in 4k disc vs compressed video streaming Cant say if it looks that much better then blu-ray because never owned the blu-ray. I had a gift card so didn't mind the price but i wonder if it will get cheaper closer to Christmas

Never seen these movies until i had surgery and my wife got movies for me from the store to watch and they are the best trilogy i had ever seen and now in 4k puts them over the top!!

I love Lord of the Rings and to watch it with better sound and getting the extended version was even better. The price is a little high but it was worth it in the end.

This is a collection of three of the best movies ever made. The 4k upgrade is ok not the best. It definitely looks better but not as good as I had hoped but still good. No complaints though because the packaging is gorgeous and it will look great in my collection

I went through two of these trying to find one with disc holders that weren't chipped/broken. None of the discs are damaged or scratched, but they easily fall out of the plastic holders within. If you are buying one in-store, I'd suggest giving it a light jiggle and listen for any loose plastic parts to indicate if you got one that's badly damaged inside.

Love the 4K upgrade. The picture is crisp and the colors really pop compared to the DVD versions that I’ve had forever. The digital copies are awesome too, saves you from having to put in 2 discs per movie when you watch the hard copy. Love it.

I had the extended versions on blu-ray, and I will keep that set for the bonus features, but otherwise this set is amazing! I have watched the extended versions in 4K so far and the clarity, contrast, and correct colors now are the only way to go.

Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings Trilogy is one of the greatest stories put to film. At least once in your life you must watch this epic. Extended Editions are the true way to watch this trilogy. A must have for any cinema fan.

The usage of HDR and Dolby Atmos is amazing and demo worthy for this 17-academy award winning trilogy. The 4k set is an upgrade over the 1080p Blu-Ray's, but I wish it was slightly more filmic. There was a liberal amount of Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) done to smooth these out and make them look more like the digitally shot Hobbit Trilogy. Well worth the $$ for LOTR fans. Watched on my 77" LG CX OLED and Panasonic UBP-820 with a 5.1.2 setup.

Absolutely Incredible. As someone who has owned the blu-ray version of this trilogy for some time, I have to say it is very nice not having to get up halfway in to each movie to change discs. The audio and visual quality are great.
