Love the lord of the rings series and this new 4k version of these amazing films are great, I also appreciate that these are the extended version of the films.

Needed to upgrade from Blu-ray version to 4K so it displays beautifully with the 4K TV and the other audio settings? I also have the extended DVD version that will be retired.

Brilliant in all ways! The colors and detail are simply breathtaking with this remastered 4K set on my HDR Samsung TV. I expect it will be the last, after DVD and then the 1080p Blu Ray.

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. I've never saw a blu ray this clean, ever and I own over 40 4k blurays. I'm a super lotr fan but this is truly epic. Dolby vision and atmos btw.

The amount of detail you missed with the regular DVD or Blu-ray version of this will astound you. The 4k Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos will blow you away!

The trilogy is well known... The 4K scan was well-done and does them justice. Because of the film durations, you must swap disks at mid-movie.

I have been watching the theatrical version on bluray for years. The extended version adds more detail to the story. Also, the 4K version is noticeably more colorful and detailed.

So beautiful! Washes away the old terrible Blu-ray transfer. Love that you get both the theatrical and the extended cuts. No special features is a bit of a bummer though.

The 4K is completely stunning, and the Atmos can really make the sound pop. You feel like the Balrog is in the room with you in the first movie. It was a great remaster of the films.

Great Blu-ray player! I paired this with a Sony X95J. Streaming can’t beat the picture or sound of a great Blu-ray player.Dolby Vision movies look and sound amazing!

If you love these films, this is the way they were meant to be seen. While there are no supplements, (those will be included next year in a deluxe box set) but the films are worth it alone.

Absolutely fantastic picture and sound quality however the discs quite often fall out from their clips. Had to contact Warner Bros. as Fellowship Extended Disc 1 would stutter and skip over 20 minutes of footage. Cleaned the disc, cleaned the player, tried in a PlayStation 5 and it did the same thing. They were happy to send a replacement disc :)

I’ve seen the movie, but I was waiting for it to come out on 4K. The picture quality was outstanding, being able to see the true graphics with the Hobbits, and the other crazy characters.

Gorgeous picture and sound design. The new color timing is extraordinary. I feel like I’m seeing these movies for the first time again, to the point that they almost feel like new kicked.

I know this got mixed reviews but I think it is much better then the standard bluray. The extended disks are great and filled with new stuff that is fun. Looks great and sounds awesome.

Incredible films that still hold up two decades later. If you’ve spent a ton on a home theater style set up this collection is a must have in my opinion.

I have been waiting forever for the 4K release and it doesn’t disappoint. It takes me back to when I first saw them in theaters. Quality is great and a must have for the LOTR collectors.

Great video/audio quality on these classic films. I recommend them for people who appreciate that and a great storyline.

Excellent product! Appreciate having both the theatrical and extended versions in 4k and Dolby Atmos. Worth the purchase as I saw much more new content in the extended versions as well.
