Great steel book. Always loves the movies but seeing them in 4K and in steel book format is great.

If you like Lord of the rings, you need to see it like this. So, much better in 4K.

Off top the 4k transfer of LOTR's is phenomenal! The details that you might have missed on DVD/BluRay all come to life in 4k. The 4k rendering is absolutely gorgeous! Watching it in 4K was like seeing it for the first time. However let me assure you, it's still not worth the price. You get no extras or bonus footage. Just the movies. That's it that's all. So if you have your old Special Edition LOTR bluray/dvd box sets keep em'. My complaint is also with Warner Brothers' poor quality control. Upon opening the case, I discovered that The Two Towers was missing. Apparently, a large percentage of buyers did not receive either The Two Towers or The Return of the King in the set. I was one of those people who didn't get The Two Towers. I was heated! To make matters worse, Best Buy was sold out of the steel book editions and I was told no more were coming out. Those of you who are diehard Tolkien/LOTR's fans should wait for the Ultimate LOTR 4K edition which will be released next Summer. At least you will get a booklet and a bunch of extra's with it. As beautiful as the 4k transfer is and considering what past LOTR box sets offered, this 4k edition was not worth the price imho.

The dvds are great but the presentation box is terribly damaged in shipping. I’m still hoping to exchange it since it is a gift

Return of the King case smelled like maple syrup. Movie still played though. Quality product.
