My copy never even arrived. It turned out it was never released from BB!!! How can I rate this any higher when I don't even get to watch it. Now I am not even able to purchase this anymore.

2 out of the three discs have skips when playing. Very frustrating considering the cost involved. I plan on trying to return them for replacements. Wish me luck

SHIPPING IN BAG, VERY POOR PACKAGING. STEELBOOK CAME IN BENT, DENTED ALL OVER & SCRATCHED. TIRED TO EXCHANGE IN STORE FOR ANOTHER ONE & THOSE WERE EVEN WORSE.

Came dented and the sound mix was messed up. No special features. WB is doing an ultimate edition next year. Not sure why they did this first. Money grab?

The product showed up damaged. I would like to know why especially when I buy something new, it should be handled with care.

Outer box has significant dent that was covered by cardboard slide on. Not too happy about that. Non-damaged product would be recommended.

Arrived with multiple dents and scratches. I wish it would have been packed better. I would not have a steelbook shipped again.

Obviously this is incredible. I only watch the extended editions, and needed a new BluRay and digital copy, so this was perfect for me. The box is cool, I like the metal design, but really I'm here for the content which of course doesn't disappoint.

The sound and picture quality will blow you out of the water. The steelbook art is well designed. If you love these films do not wait to get the next LOTR 4K collection next year. This is it!!!

I was excited to have purchased this set, little did I know that they'd be plagued with freezing and skipping. Very sad because these sold out and can't be replaced.

Very disappointed that Best Buy allows people to purchase multiple copies of these Steelbook's to be scalped online without the ability to purchase the movie in the store. I go to the St. Cloud, MN location at 10 AM today and they don't have any in stock. Pathetic. You need to fix this policy immediately. Would figure there would be a benefit to being Elite status, but I guess not.

Could you package these any worse? Seriously. This is a high dollar item, and you ship as if it were a lightning deal on Amazon. Ship it in a box. NOT A BUBBLE MAILER. Amateurs. It's not like there's a pandemic going on, and people are already stretched thing for the holidays, financially. I'm so thrilled I get to waste my hard earned money on a product that looks like it was drop kicked through a window. Pathetic.

Fellowship of the Ring is missing the spine cover. Can't get anyone on best buys support line to help after the store said they couldn't do anything. Gotta step up your support game and make sure you have spare product for those that get damaged product. Website won't even let me upload a 2mb jpeg of the issue...

First off I want to say that I love the Lord of the Rings. Watched it when it first came out, read all the books, played the games etc. But this “4K” update is terrible. Jackson tried to enhance the movies for the current technology which was a good idea, but went way to far. Digitizing scenes or backdrops that were scale models or REAL scenery. If you are watching this on a 4K device with a 4K TV, be prepared to see every visual flaw that you never wanted to see. I have seen even the smallest flaws from these movies, which makes them hard to watch.

The store barely got any of these in and my preorder had broken disc spindles. Managed to track down a store with one on the shelf and did an exchange and the spindles were fine but the discs were loose. In both cases I ended up with scratched discs. May just have to return for the regular edition.

Best buy sent a damaged SteelBook set out to me, the cardboard had no visible damage, there was air bags around the sides, but the depth of 4 inches was not compliant with the 1.5 inch padding as required by the shipper. Even with the substandard protection, the Steelbook appeared to have been damaged before it was boxed.
