Hobbit might be the bastardio child of the 3 set series, but it's still enjoyable if you don't get too worked up over the overused CGI and half baked sideplots. Still worth picking up this set!

The lord of the rings trilogy are some great movies. Getting them in steelbook is a must have for anyone collect still books, and who likes lord of the rings movies.

I’ve been waiting a long time to put this steel book series in my collection the 4K is in peccable the Dolby Atmos amazing it is a must have especially if you have a 4K home theater system.

The LOTR Trilogy remaster is going to become the standard in 4K transfers moving forward. These already visually stunning films are only made even more exceptional, and paired with a stunning case to boot.

Amazing quality, matte finish with a superb box to protect and show them off in. Nice transfers in 4K Dolby vision with Atmos. Not perfect 4K crispy but the HDR is very nice.

The best of the trilogy. Great 4k picture on my 85" Sony tv. Steelbooks are very sexy. Movies are long but the time goes fast. Have to look at the extended versions did not have time yet to check them out.

A meek Hobbit from the Shire and eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron. Pic quality is stellar and worth a pick up

Definitely love this set. The picture quality is amazing and the Individual steel books are stunning to look at. Had a hard time finding a set where the outer case wasn't dented though.

Watching in 4K is astonishing. It was as if I was watching an entirely different movie for the first time. A must see for any LOTR fan. The casing for the steel books is elegant and very dis playable.

I believe this was not "original film" scanned in 4k considering the fact that there are some softness here n there. however color grading/ overall sharpness are fun to watch these movies again in 4k.

This is the best 4K movie of this year. Hands down. The movie is so clean and crystal clear. The audio (Dolby Atmos) is superb and unparalleled. This is the movie that should be in your collection.

No question these are classic films. The steelbook set is superb, and I couldn’t be happier. Wish they would have included regular blu-ray as well. I don’t have 4K in every room. Worth the money.

the 4 stars is not from the movie quality. It is because the metal outer case came with a big dent in the corner. I cant even exchange it because it is out of stock. So I am stuck with a dented collectors item. :( But LOTR in 4k is amazing!!!!!!!

The picture and sound quality for these films has never been this incredible. The individual steelbooks and the steel case are beautiful. So lucky to have snagged this amazing set before it sold out.

This set is just unbelievable! What a great job in the packaging and the presentation. This will probably be the best these films ever get so grab them now. If you are a fan you can't go wrong.

First the good news! The packaging is stunning. The films are as brilliant in audio and video as you're ever going to get! Now for the bad news! I didn't realize when buying this that the package forfeits all the "making of" and "behind the scenes" documentaries that were all present on the Blu-Ray box set, along with the Extended Versions. I would rather have sacrificed the theatrical versions of the films for the Special Features...who needs these, as you really want the whole complete films, as the director intended plus everything on how the film was put together... Once again, beautiful Steelbook, but could have put more thought into the materials included.

These 4K remasters of LOTR are amazing. The detail that can be seen really shows off just how much work was put into these films. The textures in the costumes and weapons is just spectacular!

I was so excited to have an opportunity to purchase this item after it had been sold out for months. The steelbooks and case are beautiful, heavy and sturdy not cheap cardboard.

The collection any LOTR fan would be happy with. This is a great gift or for your personal collection. I was very happy with the quality of the steelbooks and quality of the video.

Aside from having the extended and theatrical edition included, the steenboks and packaging themselves is very beautiful. Im glad I got this copy before it sold out .
