Return of the King is the best of the trilogy and will leave you breathless.

Peter Jackson in the three films used great camera work in making those hobitts look as real as possible.. really all in all it made the book come alive. every one should see all three

This extended version dvd set of the third installment of J.R.R. Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy is just outstanding, and the movie itself is pretty good too. It's a shame the sequels, although good, didn't live up to the magic of the first movie. Perfect box set here for fans, loaded with so many bonus features it may take half a lifetime to get through! This dvd version adds a bunch of must-see extra footage into the film, which was cut out theatrically for time reasons. But fans will love it!

It's the best one of the trilogy and one of my favorite sci-fantasy movies.

I purchased this movie for my son (age 15). He watches it at least twice a week (and has for the past two months!!). I highly recommend for all teenage boys :)

This dvd set of J.R.R. Tolkien's 3rd installment in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, is quite good, though I recommend skipping it it since the 4-disc dvd set containing the 'extended version' is so much better. If you're going to invest in this movie, you may as well go all-out and buy the film in its most complete format.

This finale of the trilogy is the best way to celebrate it. Wonderful Special Features and extended/deleted scenes, it is the best way to end the series. One version to rule them all, and Special Features, Part 3 !!

By far the worst movie I ever seen. Its too long, and had seven different endings that could have been left for DVD release. I fell asleep and when I wioke up two hours later, it was still ending. Its not wirth it

They cut out huge chuncks of the movies in the steel book series so it would fit on one disc. Parts of the missing sections of the movie made it to where it didn't even make sense. If you love the original movie don't buy these copies.

this full-screen dvd version alters the original theatrical aspect ratio of the movie from 2.35:1 to 1.33:1, giving a picture in which you lose almost 50% of the image on each side in every scene. Buy the widescreen version instead.
