Skip the remake and check out the original Magnificent Seven instead. It still stands as one of the greatest Westerns ever.

I liked the newer version that came out recently, but the original is by far the best. One of the top westerns ever made.

Although it is a "rip-off" of the premise of "Seven Samurai" this original western exudes much genuine heart. Eli Wallach is a great villain.

I'd just seen the remake of The Magnificent Seven which I really enjoyed. I purchased the original as I couldn't remember how close it followed the original. It remains a great and classic film.
