Saw this movie at the movies and I enjoyed it so much

Denzel in a western never saw that coming. Good movie.

Enjoyed seeing this older movie. It was great !!!!

Who doesn't love a good western!?! Well I am not a fan of "remakes". As most are just some director/producer attempting to add to their "fame" or another pretentious horse's patootie who think he knows better than the original director/producer (ie -True Grit w/ Jeff Bridges). I am happy to say, that this western, was a well done film that could have easily stood on it's own without the connection to the earlier film via name recognition. Denzel did as Denzel does, and gave a good performance as the lead, while Chris Pratt delivered a equally as important performance as the quick drawing, sarcastic, comic relief. If I had to give one, the only short coming I noticed was of Haley Bennett as Emma Cullen. She just did not seem to fit, or perhaps, she was not comfortable as her character. Some of her dialog seemed forced and just not believable. Fortunately there was enough going on elsewhere to get caught up in, that you might not notice it.

A good remake and update of a classic western from a bygone era of Hollywood

This movie has an action-packed story line with unique characters. To keep this review short and sweet, I'll list the good, and the overall. The Good: -Fast-paced action. Although there are breaks from the action to focus on the story line, it always picks back up at the right moments and never disappoints. -Likeable characters. As mentioned, there is a very brief character development for the main characters, but the dialog and action provide just enough for the viewers to appreciate each character, -Humorous. On top of all of the action, this movie is also a comedy, and it lives up to its genre very well. Overall: It's not going to be an all-time classic, but it is still a very entertaining movie. I would recommend this movie to anybody who enjoys action-comedies.
