This movie was ok due to the 4K format. Too bad they didn't use the original song throughout the movie. I was expecting it, and it didn't happen. I felt like I was missing something that was critical to the old version.

For a remake it was OK....lot of big names and effects and there is a nod to the original...sure, 7 cowboys get together to save a town at the behest of a farmer...but there are some movies that should not be remade....

common western plot! Land baron trying to swindle farmers out of their land. Farmers hire gunmen for protection. That's it in a nutshell, but it is still entertaining and worth seeing if you have nothing better to do.

could not watch in 4k, lucky there was another blue ray dvd in with 4k dvd that i was able to play, payed 30 bucks for 4k dvd and i only had a player for 4k upscaling my mistake, just make sure you have a 4k player.

doesn't hold a candle to the original. While Denzel is an upgrade from Yul Brynner, Pratt is no McQueen. The cast is a lot of fun and definitely very enjoyable but it won't go down as an all time Western classic.

My husband enjoyed the movie, but I was a little disappointed. It's hard to do a remark of a great movie. Was hoping this group of actors could pull it off, but clearly not. I suggest seeing it at least once.

Chris Pratt and Denzel Washington deliver solid performances in this retelling of the cult Western classic The Magnificent 7. Features a lot of good action sequences, but has poor character storytelling.

The original Magnificent Seven was better but the audio on this one was awesome especially during the last gunfight.

Originally saw it on the big screen and liked it enough to own it. As for Westerns, it kept to the major plot of most of its genre. Story was ok and was filled with enough action to make it entertaining.

As a Denzel fan I was disappointed in this version. The original is better, but not as entertaining in witty conversation. The sarcasm of Pratt is delightful, but the acting cannot compare to original.

The Magnificent Seven never really lives up to the superlative in its title -- or the classics from which it draws inspiration -- but remains a moderately diverting action thriller on its own merits.

This was an action-packed western showing the good guys against the bad. It was full of gun violence typical of the visions of western cowboys. It was an entertaining movie but not for children.

I think the original was way better. This had so much potential because of all the great actors in this movie. If you get it cheaper and by that I mean $10 or less than its worth the buying.

I am a fan of all the previous versions (Seven Samurai, original Magnificent Seven), bu this one is not a classic as the others are. 4K version with HDR is good but not the best I've seen.

Enjoyed the movie enough to buy it. DTS-HD audio. HD picture. -2 stars for not having an iTunes download. UV and flixster hate Apple; no way to play content in high def on a Gen3 AppleTV.

I believe the originals are better in this case you can tell they leaned heavily in star power to carry this but did not really take off well

I enjoyed this production, but it is hard to improve on the original. Had I not seen the Yul Brenner version I might have been more impressed. (It was on a par with the 7 Samurai.)

Anything Denzel does is fantastic! I enjoyed this movie in Blu-Ray. I would definitely recommend this movie. I am not a big fan of Westerns but this was worth the 90 minutes or so!

A mediocre remake attempts considering the star power. I mainly purchased this movie because I am a hardcore fan of Denzel Washington. It is quite obvious that this is a Hollywood attempt to add multicultural PC ness to the remake. I was hoping for more in-depth character development, especially the native American and Jack. I am completely amazed that Denzel's character was so dull, considering his talent. Overall, it is fairly difficult to push me away from a western movie, but I don't think I will watch this one again.

This movie has plenty of action , plus the country side scenary is beautiful. But this movie was not as good as the original, but still an enjoyable movie.
