Originally "The Seven Samurai", this story has been going on for ages through various interpretations and sequels. I am a sucker for the modern day western as they are able to put great actors in familiar roles. This one was very well done.

I looked forward to buying this movie because I like westerns. I liked this movie a lot more than I did the older version. It sticks to the original story line, but has a lot more action and a better audio for my AVR system. I did enjoy this movie and glad to have added it to my collection.

You will love this film directed by none other than Antoine Fuqua and starring, Denzel, Ethan, Chris, Vincent, Peter and Matt Bomer and Luke Grimes and so forth. Good film and western to watch. I believe Yul Brynner would have been pleased.

Is it the original, No. Is that bad, No. Really enjoyed the movie and all the actors were great. They even had lines from the original but they didn't feel forced or lame. My Dad hates remakes of his favorite old movies, but he loved this one.

For all of you out there who love westerns you won't be disappointed with this movie granted it's a remake of a classic it still didn't fail to deliver pick it up today kick back with a good cold beer and enjoy you won't be disappointed

WASHINGTON AND CAST WERE GREAT FROM START TO FINISH . I THINK THIS MOVIE WAS A GREAT WESTERN, WHICH WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH OF ANY MORE. THIS MOVIE WILL ALSO BE A TOP PICK FOR YEARS TO COME.

Fine remake of one of the greatest westerns of all time. Doesn’t have the music quality of the original but Antoine Fucqua is a great director and this is a quality motion picture .

I like the look of this steelbook. It has a nice finish to it and I like the simplistic art. The move is pretty good. Denzel, as always, gives a solid performance and Chris Pratt is Chris Pratt so worth the price of admission. If you like Westerns you should definitely check this one out.

Taking a classic Western like The Magnificent Seven into cinemas and remaking is no easy task in this era of franchises and superheroes. Very entertaining and doesn't mash-up classic film making with quick cut editing and overpowering music.

I love westerns and was really looking forward to this movie. The cast was great and I enjoyed Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt the most. It was a fun ride as the group came together. It had really good action scenes and lots of gunfights.

go into this knowing that this story has been told before, and half the main characters, who you will love, will die. if you do those two things you will love this movie. these are top tier actors who knock it out of the park in this movie.

I waited until I could get this at a great price as I'm not a huge fan of this movie, but the Dolby Atmos audio and 4K video presentation are reference in my opinion. Your results may vary, but very happy with my purchase. Just an FYI some in the store with slipcovers and some without.

This remake of The Magnificent Seven is an action packed Western that entertains and critiques capitalist robber barons at the same time. The plot has changed from the original, but the changes are well thought out. Bogue, the villian of the movie, is particularly well portrayed.

I remember, I think it was back in the 60's, this movie, was the American version of a Japanese movie. This one was good, like the other 60's movie, different, but the same. I have to give it 5 stars because I will probably watch it again.

This is a great modern western. Lots of action and the cinematography is on point. Great performances from Denzel and Chris Pratt. Would highly recommend to not only the western fan but anyone looking for a good movie with lots of action.

of a remake ;) Really enjoyed the movie. The cast is outstanding. Denzel Washington is his usual captivating-self, and Chris Pratt is just fun to watch. The movie ends a tad melodramatically, and there are definitely a couple of predictable clichés, but definitely worth seeing.

This may be more of a 4-1/2 star. I didn't know if this would live up to the original movie. I was surprised. The movie is really good. Danzel Washington as Chisolm turned out to be pretty darn gripping. If you like westerns and the original, you won't be disappointed.

I have of course seen the classic. While it and its predecessor the Seven Samurai are exceptional films, I found this adaptation enjoyable too.

This steelbook set was purchased as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. He has several steel box collectors items and this was a special request of his. We enjoy all the "extras" that come with this set and the quality did not disappoint!
