I'm a fan of "revisionist westerns," and this is a good one. I liked it better on BluRay than when we saw it in the theater. The pricing on the original version was so good that I purchased it as well. Good to have both in my "library."

This was yet another redo of the excellent storyline of how a ragtag bunch of hombres take on the evildoers to save a town. It held it's own in that it had great action, very good plotline and excellent overall presentation of the story.

Good movie, maybe not the best for 4k but it came with 2 disks. Some scenes look really good but not the full 4k effect that I expected. I have since bought a Sony 4k player (which was not out when my TV was bought). It shows better than the Samsung 4k player 8n my opinion.

The early sixties classic western using seven cowboys with questionable backgrounds for a noble purpose is reproduced using today's stars from all ethnic backgrounds to produce a gem that rivals the first. Need more westerns like this.

I liked the movie, I'm still more partial to the original BUT this one was good!! A lot more action and had some funny parts as well, if you're into westerns and you are a fan of the original...good chance you might enjoy this one too!!

When I saw this title in the list, it reminded me of Blue Bloods. In one of the Blue Bloods episodes, they talk about this movie. I bought it for my husband for Christmas because I believe that he will enjoy it.

They make you understand. The original started with honor, here we start with revenge. Get into it and understand how it moves you and get caught up in it, Oh yea get you gun and jump on your horse, your really not the nice guy!!!!!

I am a huge fan of this movie. One of my top ten movie picks of the last year. I have already watched it four times. There is so much action it is one of those movies you almost are sure to miss out on something. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes Western or action movies.

I was surprised at how how good this is at the theater, so good in fact that I wanted to own it. Don't diss it just because it's not Kurosawa or the 1960 version (both of which I also own) - it stands completely on its own merits.

little different than original but still same theme. terrific actors Denzel is good as usual. lot of action to more modern times typical bad guy trying to take everything to make himself more powerful but as usual good triumphs over bad.some of old cliches but some new ones also

What a fantastic remake of this classic western. I liked it better than the Yul Brenner version. Denzel Washington and the rest of the cast were so likable even though they were outlaws. The story was timeless - good versus evil.

start with a great cast including D. Washington and C.Pratt. Add a solid director and great cinematography and a rousing score and a slightly revamped story. Now you have the new version of the magnificent seven. Like the original seven its a film you can watch multiple times.

If you like Westerns, this one is well done. While the plot is similar to that of the original film, this one is obviously loaded with modern day special effects. The cast is amazing and the movie does the Western genre some justice.

If you like westerns as I do this is a great movie to watch with a lot of action the bonuses is you can get it in 4k and I just got my new TV so the picture is excellent I definitely would recommend this for somebody to get

Without revealing the ending or the plot...This is a great movie for family and friends to revel in with all the action packed thrilling events. You can't go wrong with this purchase, you will enjoy this movie over and over again.

At first my open box Denton receiver didn't work very good. However, John the store Manager took care of me. He knows the importance of great customer service, which he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy! Thank You John!

The movie was great and at a very good sale price at bestbuy. The price was even better then wal-mart price. The the bestbuy service is top notch. The movie was great good story line and just enough action to balance the move off.

I'm not a huge fan of westerns but this movie proved to be surprisingly entertaining. Great cast of actors that compliment each other. The blu ray quality is a big plus and it enhances the picture itself, as well as the sound.

Better than the supposed "experts" have stated. It's a fun movie with plenty of action and some interesting characters. I don't think it was meant to be a really serious movie. Reminded me in some ways of " The Wild Bunch". And that's an incredible compliment coming from me.

This is a great remake of an even greater original. The original holds a special place in my heart so I was a bit skeptical when I first learned of the remake, but it has everything the original had. Great cast, great one liners.
