This movie was a lot better than I was expecting. I thought it might drag out, but on a friend's recommendation, went ahead and picked it up. Had a little of everything...comedy, action, drama. Definitely a great buy.

The Martian is an entertaining and unique look at what it would be like to be stranded on Mars... as a really smart astronaut and botanist. The movie smartly handles making the real world science relatable to the general public while also intriguing us as to how it all is possible. Unexpectedly funny and compelling, The Martian is a good movie that is well worth seeing.

I'm not a Matt Damon fan at all, but I really liked him in this and loved the movie. Matt does a good job of keeping you hanging on his every word and move. The movie is excellent from start to finish.

What else is there to say. From the setting, to the story to the acting I think this movie is just perfect. If you are into outer space type movies or are a fan of Matt Damon do yourself a favor and give this a watch.

Being an engineer, and having lived with NASA astronauts as neighbors in the past, I was fascinated by the "work the problem" issue, and after reading the book, had to see the movie, and purchase it for my library.

One of the better movies this year, the Martian takes us on a more comedic cast away setting where Matt Damon must use his knowledge to stay alive in a mysterious setting where he must create good and learn to survive

This was the first time I seen this movie. It was so good. I was just leaning toward the tv as I watched. It was just about one of the best movies I have seen with this actor staring in it.

The 4K Version of the Martian came in just like I had an anticipated. The quality of it is fantastic. I love how I got a digital copy of it attached to this version, which also includes the theatrical version.

One of the best movies not only of the year...but of the decade! Matt Damon is fantastic in this. Just the right blend of terror, suspense and a bit a wry sarcasm and humor blend to make this a fantastic movie event!

Great movie Matt Damon is lost again and if you added up all the money spent finding him we could probably build a real space ship to go to Mars. Look forward to finding him again in future indevers.

"...you get to come home." One of my favorite movies of 2015 - Great story, some action, a little comedy, some suspense, and a sprinkle of drama all rolled in one epic film. A must see for any movie aficionado!!

The Martian, Ridley Scott's film about an astronaut surviving on a desolate planet, is at heart a shipwreck story, one that just happens to take the form of a science fiction adventure. The 7.1 audio mix is very good

Bought this not knowing much about the movie. The wit and humor where a delightful suprise. Solid plot and acting. I think this film can be enjoyed by lots of different types of people due to its character and story.

I am a sci-fi fan and this is one of my new favorites. If you haven't seen the movie, it is the millennial version of Robinson Crusoe. Lots of science based dialog and action, but still a good story with good dialog.

Extended Edition has a few nice touches, but holds to the spirit of the movie. I had hoped for a bit more from the book, but was still pleased nevertheless.

I don't want to give away anything, but Matt Damon was outstanding in this movie. Acting, writing, directing, and casting were all superb! Probably the best movie I watched in 2015. Well, that or The Force Awakens.

If you like the original version of this movie, the extended version is even better. The additional content really helped this movie make more sense, without just making it longer. Bravo!

I enjoyed this movie though I had trouble getting it to play on my 3D BluRay player and had to go back to my original BluRay player. This movie is potentially a future real life drama, we (or some f us) will see.

From someone who never reviews things have to say this was a Great, comical, intelligent, syfy movie. Not to take away from tom hanks role in cast away but thought I was almost watching updated version of cast away.

Great movie. I really enjoyed it and the quality on the 4k disc was exceptional. I would recommend this one on 4k.
