I was really surprised by this movie. I mean a guy by him self on mars. How good could it really be? It was great from start to finish with plenty going on and it was paced very well.

This was a great movie in every way. Who thought Matt Damon would be this good all on his own! Great effects, great sound, have watched it several times now and doesn't get old.

This to me was much more of a comedy with some moments of suspense. If you're into space, adventure and science mixed with some wit and very funny dialogue then this is a most see.

One of the stand out movies of the year, fun, funny, instills wonder and adventure. Brings back the magic feeling of the Space Program which we have sadly lost. It's beautiful in 3D

I'm a nerd who was oddly touched by how earnestly nerdy this movie is. Ingenuity and technical skillset get the stranded astronaut home.

This movie is more than I thought it would be. Matt Damon does an excellent job acting (like usual) but the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.

Matt Damon's best film is the Martian. Want a drama that has spinets of comedy? The Martian is the film for you. It will also scratch that sci-fi itch you've been having lately too.

WOW I am so impressed with the quality of this movie in 4K i just got the new samsung 4K DVD PLAYER and it really makes all the difference in BUYING a 4K DISK over Streaming 4K

This includes both the extended and original cut of the movie. The digital code that came with the movie is the extended cut. Overall picture quality was great in 4k.

Purchased when the DVD was on sale. After viewing the movie, I was blown away by the special effects. The colors are vibrant and the sound is crystal clear.

Very good movie. It felt a little long, but it was worth it to see everyone put their heads together to try and bring the Martian home. Mark Watney himself had to be brilliant and figure out new ways to survive and contact earth. It was just awesome all the way around. It makes you more interested in science in general!

Great movie and it was great it came out in 3D the first day . Did not have to wait on it. And you get a blu ray and digital copy so it is like getting 3 movies for the price of one.

Based on the trailers, I wasn't really motivated to see this movie. But, it turned out to be a great story and well executed effects. Definitely recommend (and its family friendly).

At Best Buy it is so easy , get in you see the department what you want to shop , an associate will point , grab the item , pay for it and go out . So convenient . My favorite store

Excellent movie. The picture in 4k is stunning. You feel like you are on mars. I have watched this movie at least 10 times since I got it. It is perfect for the new SUHD TV's.

The Martian is a real winner. Matt Damon and the rest of an excellent cast do a terrific job of bring this near future scfy story to life. Seems as real as real. Highly recommended.

Heard a lot of great things about this movie and found it on sale one day while picking up something else. A great movie and the quality is fantastic. Would definitely recommend it.
