Sony TV Brevia 900 is great. Bose sound bar and woofer is wonderful. Geeks put everything together including a new tv table- I loved my geeks. I would highly recommend Best Buy

The most I would like is the willing to live and when you see it in 4k!!

This is the best version of the movie. A little more exposition and nice crisp 4k. Don't know if it's supposed to be letterboxed but still looks great. I was just upset that I never knew Extended version was coming when I bought the theatrical. That was dishonest of them. This version comes with both though

I enjoyed the theater version, but haven't had a chance to watch this version yet. I'm hoping the put tbe sandstorm scene in. Will update layer when I watch it.

I can relate, during my Biology courses we had to plant our own beans and grow them with different fertilizers. Just brought back memories. Better than Gravity.

Ridley Scott is a brilliant assembler of casts, and he knows how to organize groups so they seem to naturally fit, and can bob and weave in unison with his roving cameras.

Matt Damon's best film imo, his body transformation is creepy but hartfelt! the visuals and hope filling are the main points here along with those amazing Martian crops!

This is legit one of the coolest movies made. The science is cool, the acting is great and the overall pace is spot on. Definitely worth watching and in 4K too!

I didn't think a movie about a guy all alone on a planet would be very captivating, but I was absolutely wrong. This movie was great! Watching it in 4K is worth it as well!

The Story and Quality of the shots/effects are top of the line. The only way to beat this 4k Movie would be to get Extended Version. Riddley Scott did an amazing JOB!!!

This is a terrific NASA feel-good story that is uplifting and it is an excellent escape from the pettiness, nastiness and cynicism we often find in today's life.

I liked this because it was pretty scientifically accurate. Current or not too far off in the future technology was used. Could be soon an actual NASA mission.

Great Movie and the extended cut does add a few good parts to it. Great Picture in 4K and the Dolby Atmos sound track in special! I'm a big Matt Damon fan!

The DVD ran great and looked great. I had to take the original DVD I purchased in since it did not work right and got a replacement one that I have reviewed above.

The wife & I loved this movie. We thought it should have won best picture that year. Great special effects with just the right amount of humor thrown in!

It is really enjoyable and entertaining. It have good, interesting storyline. The con is that lack the depth of feeling and decent character development . Overall, it was good movie. Great audio and video. I haven't read the book, so I can't speak the difference between movie and book.

I already have the 1080p release which was great. For owners of 4K tv and projectors this is a must buy. Much more detail and HDR adds a lot to film

It's weird. With everything The Martian has going on and going for it you'd think it might be more of a straightforward action film, but rather this is a movie about problem solving. Problem solving in the cheesy sense of never giving up, but legitimate in that our protagonists circumstances have him stranded on Mars. These days, one almost goes into a Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) picture with the expectation of receiving something handsome without necessarily having any sustenance and that reaction has been warranted over the last few years (Prometheus has it's lovers and it's haters, but I'm in the former camp). What makes The Martian different than say Robin Hood, The Counselor or even Exodus though is that it once again sets the director up in what seems to be his most comfortable and inspiring setting: space. In going back to the cosmos, the director does his own problem solving and dives head first into his grand new science fiction film by embracing every aspect that makes up this story. Whether that be in the Mars-based segments with Matt Damon's astronaut Mark Watney or on Earth at the various NASA headquarters with engaging intellects like Chewitel Ejiofor and Jeff Daniels. Beyond having rounded up a stellar cast Scott has more or less crafted his most entertaining film in years by really seeming passionate about the material. Of course, rather than space, this could be the reason all of his films taking place out of our planet's orbit tend to generally turn out for the best. Scott is an explorer, a man who likes his scope large and his stories fairly bombastic. What bigger canvas is there to paint on than space?
