Unlike other sci fi movies where the setting shadows the story, The Martian was all about story. Worth watching. Blu-ray was made for a movie like this.

An excellent movie to have in 3d! Our receiver stopped working with 3d so had to wait until i had 3d again with a new receiver to give an honest review

I really didn't know much about this movie but it was getting good reviews so I took a chance and bought it. Well I must say I was pleasantly surprised it was fun to watch. Very entertaining and suspenseful at times. An OVERALL FEEL GOOD MOVIE! Leaves you cheering in the end!

This movie is easily one of the top ten science fiction movies. It incorporates good use of science, humanism, humor, and a good story.

Super clean and with all the extra features- you really appreciate the production.

I don't purchase very many movies any more but this one is a keeper. I especially liked having the option of a digital copy in addition to the Blu-ray.

Now I know how to survive on another planet. Don’t want to try it out, but I have the handbook to watch. This is a great movie!

Great Movie! I read the book first and I have to say this is one of the few times that I have ever said that a Movie is just as good as the book.

The kids and I saw this in the theater and liked it so much, I bought the blu ray when it was released. Matt Damon does an incredible job in the movie!

Just got a very nice 4K TV and wanted to see thi movie again anyway - so it was off to BB to pick up this 4K version. Was worth every penny.

Having watched this movie on cable, the clarity of the picture was FAR BETTER with the DVD! Brought the suspense of the movie to anew level.

Watching this movie in 3-D is like watching a totally new movie. We had already seen it in HD, but this is definitely one of the best to watch in 3-D!

Excellent movie. My family loves all things NASA. This movie does a good job following the book with only a few deviations. I highly recommend reading the book first so you can catch subtle references. The 3D is very good and does not over power or detract from the experience.

Great movie; good plot and special effects. I read the book & it is very close to the book; although some things needed to be excluded for movie format

While many of the issues experienced are not possible on Mars (such as the wind....not enough mass....) this movie is a must see classic.

This was an entertaining space travel movie and an interesting plot of how an astronaut might survive if stranded on Mars. Quite a few stretches here and there in the way he does this, but as my wife says. . . "It's a movie, don;t wreck it with too much common sense."
