The Martian is a very captivating sci-fi movie, and Matt Damon does a great job with his character. The special effects were well done, but the story line was definitely attention-grabbing.

Very realistic/plausible movie, except one part at the end (you'll know it when you see it). Very much like the book except several events were dropped due to the time constraints I'm sure.

I really enjoyed The Martian, extended edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray 2015. A very enjoyable experience.

Anytime Ridley Scott directs a movie I must see it. If it's a science fiction movie I get especially excited as I'm sure most people do. The Martian, however, is my least favorite Ridley Scott Sci-Fi movie to date. It's not a bad movie by any means and it's better than most of the rubbish Hollywood churns out these days. My biggest qualm is that I feel Matt Damon's character isn't very sympathetic. Yes, he is stranded on Mars by himself, but he is a brilliant scientist who is conveniently multi-disciplined in all the fields of science that he needs to survive. In addition he is able to communicate with NASA while he is stranded so he is not really alone. And the ending feels a little outlandish and even cartoonish. I do recommend this movie for the perfect special effects, the realistic dialogue, and the accuracy of the science. The special features on the Blu-ray are completely uninteresting and disappointing.

Not sure how many times my family has watched this but we are still intrigued each time. Yes, you know how it's going to turn out, but fun along the way...And great music!

“The Martian” finds Scott and his team innovating once again, this time moving in the direction of the plausible to present the most realistic version possible of a manned mission to Mars.

Story was captivating and well told. Matt Damon was as good as ever and the movie had really funny moments as well. Steelbook packaging is gorgeous and worth the extra $$.

Awesome movie and I've watched it over and over...just don't care for actors sharing their political views. Just do your job!

Got a new 4K tv and had to upgrade this movie to 4K!! Looks awesome! One of my favorite movies and looks great in hdr. $14.99 on Black Friday! Totally worth the double dip.

Astronauts go to Mars. When they unexpectedly have to evacuate the planet, one astronaut gets left behind. They believe that he's dead but he's very much alive and struggles for survival.

Thank you for stocking the good movies. I almost always find what I am looking for in premium movies. Only on a few occasions have you been sold out of what I want during sales promotions.

fantastic story; could not believe how well it developed with primarily only the one main actor. Word of mouth made me want to see why it went from a "ordinary" film to an Oscar contender.

Guy gets left on mars to die. Defies the people that left him behind and grew some potatoes in a make shift green house. This may or may not be able to actually happen. I am going with no.

I bought this for the 3D disk and it was pretty good but not one of my better 3D effect films. But the film itself was excellent of course and worthy of the best picture nomination it has.

This is a good 3D presentation along with a plausible story. It had a good mix of suspense and nice comic moments that made the movie very enjoyable. It has good rewatch potential as well.

Recently purchased Samsung 4k Bluray player to complement my Samsung 4K TV. Har to upgrade my favorite movie to 4K. Stunning picture. Mars never looked so good.

The Martian is less about sci-fi or space itself, and more about the human spirit and ingenuity. But there is plenty of outer space excitement as well for us sci-fi fans.

Couldn't wait for this home release. I grabbed the 3D version because I wanted the full experience. The visuals and sound are truly outstanding. A movie that you can watch with the family.

This film in 4K is stunning visually. Paired with the ambiance of the film it’s a 10/10 for me.

Great movie! This movie looks amazing in 4K but unfortunately I have not been able to experience it in HDR since my 4K tv is not HDR compatible. Regardless, it was a great purchase.
