The movie is a good adaptation of a great novel, managing to keep the mixture of drama and sarcasm that makes the book so great. They gloss over some of the science presented in the printed version, but overall a good buy. Plus, it comes with digital copy as well, always nice in this increasingly portable world.

The 4K edition of The Martian has, by far, the absolute best picture quality you will find anywhere. This is an excellent example of how great the 4K format can be.

This is a really great family movie! With SpaceX leading the way towards Mars...this movie brings the dangers of space travel straight to your livingroom.

Great film! This move is definitely worth the time and money to rent or purchase. Makes me want to be an astronaut. :) Overall I would definitely recommend this film to others.

Excellent Sifi film. One Astronaut (Matt Damon) trying to survive on Mars after being stranded. Directed by Ridley Scott of the Alien franchise. Excellent film.

This is very well made movie and great acting. It is a must see for all ages . Inspirational as shows what you can do and survive if put your mind to it.

I personally liked the movie itself. It wasn't the very best movie I've seen, but it is worth buying. I don't usually buy that many blue-ray disks even with the player since the DVD are almost as good while being considerably cheaper. It was a bit more expensive but I did like the quality of the video.

When my local Best Buy was sold out of this on sale item customer service ordered it for and had it shipped to my home for free. It was so easy and I really enjoy this movie.

I read the book before seeing the movie and was not disappointed. Yes, they did leave some things out, but they did a good job of covering the important things at a good pace.

Usually when a movie gets attention from awards season, I don't like it, but not with this one! It has a great all-around story and filming. I was very glad I bought this one!

first off, wow, just WOW this movie is so awesome and the quality of the blu ray is top notch, only peeve was no commentary but the movie so worth the price and so rewatchable
