this is a great movie. good story and not a remake of some old movie. uses one similar aspect of another spce movie but very good in my opinion, definitely worth getting in 3D

It has to be hard for a person to be the centerpoint without really any other actors to play off of.. this is a great example of the acting chops possessed by Matt Damon.

I personally liked the movie itself. It wasn't the very best movie I've seen, but it is worth buying. I don't usually buy that many blue-ray disks even with the player since the DVD are almost as good while being considerably cheaper. It was a bit more expensive but I did like the quality of the video.

This is a really great family movie! With SpaceX leading the way towards Mars...this movie brings the dangers of space travel straight to your livingroom.

Usually when a movie gets attention from awards season, I don't like it, but not with this one! It has a great all-around story and filming. I was very glad I bought this one!

first off, wow, just WOW this movie is so awesome and the quality of the blu ray is top notch, only peeve was no commentary but the movie so worth the price and so rewatchable

Excellent Sifi film. One Astronaut (Matt Damon) trying to survive on Mars after being stranded. Directed by Ridley Scott of the Alien franchise. Excellent film.

Seen it on the big screen some time ago, one that i wanted a copy which i rate on the level of gravity.

Ridley Scott is a brilliant assembler of casts, and he knows how to organize groups so they seem to naturally fit, and can bob and weave in unison with his roving cameras

This movie has a great plot and plenty of action, kept me interested the entire time even though the run time is about two and half hours. I highly recommend this movie.

I appreciated the scientific detail of the movie. Certainly there are a few things that may not be realistic but in general it was a great tribute to the scientific community.

Great space film. Super tense at times with good moments of relief. Atmos track was great during the storm.

Not as thorough as the book, this movie makes up in 3D effects what is lacking in details left out. One gets the real feeling of being in space. Best effects since " Avatar "

Was expecting good and it was great. The plot was well-written and moved along quickly. The visuals were great and enhanced by blu-Ray capabilities. Matt Damon also nails it.

Some humor but also very realistic with some great science. Moves a little slow in beginning but then becomes a great view, exciting. 3D makes it all the better..............

This movie was awesome when I saw it in theatres. I'm glad I found it at Best Buy on Blu Ray with Extended version. I'm sure it'll be just as awesome if not better.

I saw the Martian in the theater and could not wait to own the DVD of it, the DVD is excellent in its quality and I look forward to viewing it again and again in the future..
