an accident occurs during an excursion on the surface of Mars and an astronaut is incorrectly assumed to be dead. The astronaut; played by Matt Damon awakes, alone and cut off from humanity but despite near impossible odds he uses his resourcefulness and intelligence to formulate a plan of survival.

Excellent cast and screenplay! Mars never looked any better. And the Hermes: I'm ready to travel in space! And hexadecimal for communicating... Right on!

I was so curious how the movie was developed. I thought Matt Damon was perfect in the role and very funny. It was almost like you were in his "head" during the movie.

Great movie without being overly CGI. Many movies push the limits on science but this one is actually believable and amazingly scientifically accurate.

This movie is one of my favorite movies of 2015! Great action, funny and good to watch with the whole family. I highly recommend adding this movie to your collection.

We have watched this movie a few times before buying. I bought it for my hubby as an Easter gift. We will be watching it many times in the future, I am sure.

This movie was excellent. It was gripping and I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. Very realistic for a space movie. The scenery and effects were stunning.

Excellent job in producing realistic current and future reality in the same film. Matt Damon played it perfectly, surrounded by a cast of true professionals.

Title says it all! Movie was excellent from beginning to end! Entire cast did a great job in their roles, although Matt Damon was the primary character in it!

Title says it all. Mr Damon is stranded on Mars and has to figure out how to survive. Great visuals and a good twist on the castaway theme.

Way better than I thought it would be. Very funny in some of the accidental situations Matt get's himself into. Great casting. Love the problem solving in it.
