Great director's cut if you seen the original I recommend the extended version especially if you don't own it yet

THE MARTIAN is a well written character driven movie about one man's determination and ingenuity to stay alive and survive in a harsh alien enviornment.

The movie is outstanding, but the additional features and cut scenes put this blu ray over the top. Well crafted and thoroughly entertaining all around.

I really enjoyed this film, great story. Extended edition makes it even better!

Literally a phenomenon. Looks amazing. Looked so great that even if you didn't enjoy how they butchered the book, you can at least enjoy the visuals.

Very well done. Reminds me of Castaway. Great acting. Heard some complaints but don't see how anyone could do any better with the subject matter. A+

i enjoyed watching this movie, missed it at the theater. Couldn't understand why it was called a musical comedy at awards until i watched it. Very good.

Matt Damon does a great job in this movie. It keeps you engaged and interested all the way to the end. Great movie for both the young and old!

another great film with matt damon. bought it without watching to many previews, thought it might be like castaway only in space. Its totally different.

This movie is one of my all time favorite. The extended edition is always a pleasure to own that too in Blu-ray.

Matt Damon is spectacular; and this film reminds me of the modern day "Cast Away". Really an inspirational film that will have you asking "whats next?".

Unlike other sci fi movies where the setting shadows the story, The Martian was all about story. Worth watching. Blu-ray was made for a movie like this.

I really didn't know much about this movie but it was getting good reviews so I took a chance and bought it. Well I must say I was pleasantly surprised it was fun to watch. Very entertaining and suspenseful at times. An OVERALL FEEL GOOD MOVIE! Leaves you cheering in the end!

Just recently purchased the SONY ES1000 4K player. I was highly impressed watching this disc on the unit. The colors and sound were awesome!

I don't purchase very many movies any more but this one is a keeper. I especially liked having the option of a digital copy in addition to the Blu-ray.

I have the blue ray disk and got the 4k just to compare the quality, 4k looks great. I also liked the extra scenes included in the disk.

Definitely one of the decades best movies. Acting was phenomenal with amazing graphics. Story line is captivating with non stop intrigue
