Before I saw The Martain I watched Interstellar, which also starred Damon. Although The Martian was intriguing and held my interest, if you're looking for a futuristic movie involving space, go with Interstellar.

Movie was interesting and kept my attention. Had a nice blend of drama and light humor. Good movie for those who appreciate science fiction and futuristic films. Blend of Armoggeden and McGyver! Worth the watch.

Movie was pretty good all in all but I think it could have been a half hour or more shorter. If I had to describe the movie it's like "cast away" but on Mars. It's not one that I could watch over and over.

The plot is good but I feel the movie could have been a good bit shorter if they didn't add in so much background info on trying to get him back and stayed more focused on his survival.

In my time, it was the MARTIAN coming to earth to bother us. In this flick, we go THERE and leave one of our own behind. Sounds like the BHO Administration drew up the plans for this excursion.

The DVD was great. The Bluray made the experience great. The detail was amazing; however the movie was a bit of a disappointment. I think it was hyped too much so it didn't live up to my expectations.

The movie is fantastic but the 4K version is a waste. Played the blu-ray version and a the 4K version with a Samsung true 4K player and there is not visible difference just paid the extra $10

I wanted to see this movie with my family, however the DVD would not work on our machine. We went on line and did all the suggestions others made to get DVDs to play but none of them worked.

Movie was good for family. I definitelt thought it was over-rated. Wasnt much to it but it looked good on blu ray and 4k. Didnt notice a difference between 4k and blu ray however

This was a good portrayal of if someone was stranded on Mars and what the person would have to do to survive, very tense at moments but a good flick to see if you like space movies.

The bestbuy employee told me a standard DVD player connected to a 4K tv would play the 3rd supposed version of the movie. Instead it only included a blue ray 4K version

As far as adaptations go, this was okay. It glossed over some of the better book material and even skipped some very good sequences, but still it was an entertaining movie.

It's over rated. I propose renting it first and then decide if it's worth it or not. The beginning and middle was very good. The second half was rushed and did not make sense.

Very well done. Great story and challenges facing the lone castaway on this planet desperately trying too survive. Not family friendly due to language both verbal and written.

The Martian was a good film about the struggle of a man on Mars. I like the Matt Damon movie but I felt I was left with something that was missing. But overall was very good.

Good movie. Cinematography is great! Special effects are tremendous! Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Kristin Wiig, and Jeff Daniels are great! Buy it.

Pretty typical survivor story, the 3rd of the recent space movies. At least he made it back to his crew unlike the guys in the other 2 movies. Entertaining enough though.

Starts off slow and builds , similar to Mission to Mars. Stranded astronaut has to survive while they come save him. If you have patience then the movie may be rewarding.

Not sure what to think. It was somewhat okay and somewhat boring. He justsat there getting skinnier and skinnier. It wasnt really "explosive" as with his other movies....

Movie is okay. I hoped the 3D would be special but is is only so-so. Not much coming at you. Definitely not worth watching twice. Not worth extra bucks for 3 D version.
