Good movie

They played it safe..

It wasnt suspenseful like Apollo 13, not entertainaing as Armageadon, nor thought provoking, Solaris or Interstellar, nor have good action sequences like Gravity.. So what was it?? The traveling to mars scenario nowadays seems to be more probable in reality, so to categorize the martian in a fantasy/scifi movie genre is a bit invalidated! I guess my expectations of this movie were too high for a Matt Damon movie that got 93 on rotten tomatoes (being sarcastic).
