Great Movie that lets you feel the "I am totally screwed" feeling of being stranded on Mars with no hope of rescue.And about never giving up on hope.Great Special effects too.

I figured this would be like every other space exploration movie where something goes wrong and the characters spend the rest of the movie trying to survive and get home. But I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. Yes Matt Damon ends up in trouble but it's the unexpected comedy that makes this movie worth watching. Overall a great film!

We saw this movie 2x in the theatre, so clearly it is a favorite, but the extras were so fun and clever. Loved the mock tv show and the behind the scenes by the characters. Worth the purchase!

I wasn't sure about this at first but was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Matt Damon took a horrible situation and made it bearable. Great for all ages. It's a favorite of my tween son.

This is a great movie, and even better in 3D! Everything looked very real. There were no unbelievable details or story lines. This was right up there with "Gravity"!!! A must see movie in 3D!!!

Writing, directing, acting, this movie has it all! There might be some people out there that give it a too-simple review like "it's just Castaway in space", but, trust me, it is so much better!

I wish I had seen this in the theater. Wonderful movie. Phenomenal audio and video transfer. The supplemental material is fascinating to watch as well. I cannot recommend this film enough!

I am not a major fan of Matt Damon per say, but his role in this film and the way Ridley Scott leads the story is awesome. If you are into science fiction type drama movies this is a must see.

After renting this film, I decided to have a copy of this for myself to watch at my beck and call. The realism they put in the movie, to travel and getting stranded in Mars is amazing.

4K quality is good but If you have 3DTV get the 3D version its more realistic and eye popping scenes. If you love Nasa movies then get this its great from start to finish.

I really enjoyed The Martian, extended edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray 2015. A very enjoyable experience.

Should have released this version of the film when it was first released on Blu-Ray. If you are a fan of the movie then this is a must. Luckily I waited so I didn't double up on this one.

I didn't get to see this in theaters, but was very happy to see it in my home theater. it's a great movie and Matt does it again on the big screen! good movie, good visuals and great audio!

Besides being a very well made movie, the 4k version brought a whole new level to the viewing experience over the standard Blu-ray. Better colors, better detail.... awesome!

The Martian is a great movie but the 4K Blu-Ray version is just jaw-dropping. Had a family friend over who could not stop raving about the picture being just like at the movie theater.

Matt Damon is fantastic, in this sci-fi thriller. Great acting, and very realistic visual effects. Movies about Mars have come a long way, and this one doesn't disappoint. Highly recommended.

Well done movie with a great story. Encourages our children to pursue engineering and science for adventure. I've watched it several times, enjoying new details and science with each showing.
