The Martian is one of the best movies of 2015, as evidenced by its many Oscar nominations. There's a surprising amount of humor for a movie about a man alone on a planet.

One of my favorite films of 2016 and was pleased to have purchased this at a very nice discount because it was one of the black-Friday movie offerings at Best Buy.

Excellent 4k picture quality worth the upgrade from bluray especially if u have a 4k Tv with Dolby Vision

Taking a movie from a novel where there is only one character in many frames and they need to explain what is going on is really tough. As usual recording the video is the best way to overcome. The move is really good, but I hope those curse words can be avoided so that young science fans can watch it.

Very good choice for showing the capabilities of a 4K player and TV. The movie is entertaining, but the visuals are great. Highly recommend as a first 4K movie.

Great film, wish this was offer in the DVD and Bluray combo pack. This edition only has Bluray and Digital so you can download it to iTunes or activate the VUDU version.

This movie is great for all audience ages. My 9 year old has watched in three times. It is funny, sad, serious, and engaging. I recommend this for a family movie night.

I gotta say, I loved this movie. It kinda reminded me of Apollo 13. Anyways the acting is good and the story is good. Well worth buying. The blu ray quality is amazing.

I thouroughly enjoyed the theatrical cut. The extra scenes don't change the movie, but they add some extra insight into Watley's time on Mars.
