Back To The 80s With..THE MASTER !

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sorta-Classic short-lived action/adventure series from the 80`s, keying off the Martial Arts/Ninja craze of the time. Standard 'on-the-road' action series plots mixed with excellent Martial Arts action. The Ninja action is ably handled by true-life Ninja practitioner Sho Kosugi, subbing in all-black on screen for classic actor Lee Van Cleef (who was likely sipping a Pina Colada in his trailer while the fighting was going on). Lee Van Cleef is of course, solid as the titular 'Master', and Timothy Van Patten plays the hapless Student learning to be ...A NINJA! The 1984 tv series looks better than it ever did on broadcast due to a re-mastering. So, if you have a nostalgic bent for the time, or just an appreciation of Lee Van Cleef (who passed away in 1989, 5 years after this 13 episode series was canceled) then you`ll enjoy ... 'THE MASTER'.
