My wife is a shark movie fan and we loved this one!

My kids love this is movie so much better than jaws

Movie was good at some points but still a little corny

I know the premise has been done so many times - big shark attacks swimmers, boats, etc. But I love this movie. When I first saw the trailer, I was hooked. And while it may not be the best movie ever, I certainly got my money's worth in entertainment. Jason Statham is as buff, gruff and adorable as ever. The cast in general is really good. I was happy to see Ruby Rose - I love her snark (and I am very excited about her turn as Batwoman). I thought the special effects were good and found "The Meg" itself to be pretty impressive - even if it is an oversized jerk of a fish. Since I was a kid (which was a very long time ago), I have had a fascination with dinosaurs, prehistoric fish and the like. This was an absolute guilty pleasure to watch - over and over.
