A decent monster shark attack movie. Pretty much what you'd expect of a giant shark movie starring Jason Statham, which isn't a bad thing at all.

I didn't have high hopes for The Meg and it was exactly what i thought. It has a few good scenes but i wouldn't say it was a good movie.

I don't know why but I was just expecting a better story out of this one. It's certainly watchable, and the bigger screen you have the better.

This review can be accurately summed up but the title. You know going in what kind of movie this is and it delivers on that in my opinion.

This movie is just another shark movie with better sound and graphic. Story line is just ok; not that great. 2 1/2 - 3 stars.

THEY KEEP MAKING THESE SHARKS BIGGER AND BADDER. A SORT OF SPIN-OFF FROM THOSE JAWS MOVIES, THOUGH IT IS SORT OF FUN TO WATCH.

A little Deep Blue Sea with a pinch of Jaws and you have a film that isn't as good as either. The Meg is entertaining, absolutely. Should be sold next to popcorn in the grocery store. The Meg is a kind of The Lost World: Jurassic Park survival film that doesn't focus enough on the general public A.K.A. the beach scene. Despite all of the flaws, this movie owns what it sets out to be. Shark blockbusters are back.

I was hoping that it was going to be a Thriller Jaws type of movie. Good action just needed more suspense with the Megalodon.

Fairly entertaining. There are plenty of better shark movies out there, but it will hold your attention, though it shouldn't.

I actually didn't know what to think of it when I first heard about it, but when I saw it, I thought it was pretty good. I saw a little 'Jaws' in it here and there, which I thought that they could've done it a little differently instead hinted at it the way they did, but it was still pretty good. I didn't really see it as scary though, for some reason. I would recommend everyone see it, at least once.

Great Movie Based On Great Book Series

Overall this was a great movie, and definitely one of the better shark movies that has come out since JAWS hit the screen. I first became enthralled with the story when I started reading Steve Alten's "MEG" series, on which this movie was based. While the movie didn't really follow the book, with the exception of using two of the main characters, it still offered an enjoyable story. And many JAWS fans will note some of the nods to that series used in the movie. Kudos!!

    The Meg is a Must...

THE MEG is one of those summer films in the vain of JAWS (or more likely JAWS on Steroids) where a group of scientists and researchers try and stop a mammoth shark from feasting upon tourists and beach lovers alike. And just when you think it's over and done with, along comes something bigger and better (or would that be mightier and meaner?).

The Meg is a movie with suspense, sarcasm and action. A prehistoric sharks stalks the cast as get people get killed one by one. You mainly see the shark's fin more than the actual shark, but that adds to the suspense. The cast has good rapport and a lot of sarcasm. The film is not to be taken too seriously. Just sit back and enjoy the lightheartedness that the movie portrays!
