Saw this movie in the theater, special affects were good, Story line was also good, had to rewind a few times to watch them again. Believable I hope not, Jaws times 10. (but sound track for Jaws is better).

Big budget b shark movie. I would’ve liked for it to be a little more exploitative, but still enjoyable. The 3d is excellent and elevates the enjoyment of the movie. The 5.1 dts master is very good, but the Atmos track on the 2d version is superior.

A fun action flick that is a twist on the usual Jason Statham movie. Instead of racing in cars, Statham races underwater with the Meg as his nemesis. Scarier than Jaws with a beast that could have the Great White for a snack and still be hungry!

It's not an oscar winner, and it's not a discussion at drama club. What it can be though, and was for me, is a fun movie night with the family. It's got humor, action and a shark. I wouldn't be quick to change the channel if I came across it on TV.

Nothing to write home about. Film was okay; however, there really was nothing that stood out about this film. While I like Jason Statham, this was not a great vehicle for him. You could have substituted any action actor in his role. Other actors in this film were just "okay" in their parts. The 3D effects were just okay. In fact, everything about the film was just average and in some parts bland and boring. I do, however, commend Best Buy for providing a good set: a 3D Blu-ray disc, a Blu-ray disc, a regular DVD disc and digital capability were all included. Note: Stay away from Amazon's 3D version- only the 3D disc is provided at the same price as Best Buy's much better complete set!

In spite of vowing not to buy this movie, I caved. Yes, it's a bit contrived and cliche, as well as a little ridiculous sometimes, but it's very entertaining! It's good, mindless fun if you're in the mood. The 4K Blu-ray looked excellent as well.

I enjoy watching the Meg movie with my daughter very much. I saw critics' reviews and I think they are too harsh about this movie because it is rated as PG-13. For a PG-13 rating, it is necessary to take out certainly triller and violent parts. I think this movie is just right for my kids to watch.

You do no go and watch a movie like the Meg, for scientific accuracy or for romance, you go because it is a stupid and fun movie. It was really entertaining and fun to watch, and to me the cast was pretty good, minus some of the cheesy lines.

Huge fan of Jason Statham, plays the usual tough demeanor character who saves the day, but he's great in this movie and the other characters in the movie are also hilarious. A few added twists to the plot that make it a great summer flick and not as predictable as most summer action films are.

This is an awesome action movie with some well put together characters that you can really feel for! Jason Stathem again shoes why he is one of the better action stars around. The effects in the movie are very well done as well ! It also leaves itself open to a sequel that I hope they make.

graphics are good and looks like a large shark but how many shark movies can one guy watch? My wife wanted to watch it so it was better than going to movies and listening to all the $2.00 shout outs from the back rows but that's about it.

I saw this film twice in theaters and it is completely big, dumb fun! The Blu-ray looks and sounds great, but the special features are really lacking. I wish there was an interview with the author of the books but no such luck. Really shocked by the lack of special features on this release.

Overall, I liked the movie. At times, I wished it was more of a horror film, but it was a fun action movie. The violence is geared more toward a Jurassic Park style in that there is very little blood. I had a fun time with this movie.

Movie is good to have some time off with all your family and watch some fiction. It could be way better, specially in the mini-pods escape, but, after all, it is just a movie where anything can happen and not necessarily with logic.

It’s great to finally get a 3D shark movie. Granted, even the director was disappointed with this movie’s final production, but - hey! It’s a light, campy, wincing (if not from the few gore scenes, from the CGI) cult-classic to be.

As for my expectation this movie is better than Jaws. I love the underwater scenes so beautiful and so colorful. I could watch it over & over again Jason Statham rocks, always on every of his movies keeps you entertained as always!

My daughter went on her first date with her boyfriend to see this movie. Mind you she hates the ocean and jump scares. However she loved it so much she needed to get it for her boyfriend for his birthday. It was amazing and he loved it.

It’s a fun movie. Perhaps a little scary if you are afraid of sea creatures, and big sharks. Who isn’t right? Anyway I think it was along the lines of Jurassic Park but with Sharks. Good acting as well

I thought it would be another "shark eats everyone bloodbath" movie, but found it refreshingly clever. The characters are actually fun, the suspense is not overwhelming, and it didn't make me afraid to take a bath or anything.

Without spoiling the movie, I'll say that normal people aren't this stupid to make this thing look good. Good for a few laughs. Wait for cheap version of this or watch on tv when it comes out. Not worth 4k or Blue Ray price.
