Second movie I know of that uses a prehistoric Megladon as the monster. This creature feature was very well done with top notch effects. A fun ride.

Huge Shark. I'm sold. Loved the movie. Loved the idea that we accidently broke him loose from super deep below the ocean.

Jason Statham and Ruby Rose ....their acting was good. The Meg didn't do much killing. The movie wasn't bloody and gorey if you compare it to Jaws.

My son was excited to receive this in his stocking for Christmas, it isn't Jaws but it could be the next Christmas movie tradition for our family!

Reminds me of the old jaws movies and I think is a lot better than the Deep Blue Sea movies that had come out.

Any modern film that sets out to beat JAWS, although THE MED wasn't even trying, is destined to fail. Yes, this film had the biggest shark ever...supposedly prehistoric, but there wasn't much substance to the story line to even make this fierce prehistoric shark even interesting. Great 3D effects aren't quite enough to sustain this movie, but it was nonetheless fun to watch.

far exceeded my expectations, figured another Jaws movie. Much better, Actually has a story line, hope there is a part 2 with the remaining cast.

Giant shark eats people. That's the movie. This isn't Jaws. It is closer in tone and story to Jurassic World.
