I watch many Mel Brooks movies whenever they’re showing on TV, but even cable channels are now bleeping or dubbing parts of the original dialogue. This set of BluRay discs not only make the video really pop, but coupled with the full original dialogue I feel like I’m back being a teenager sitting in a theater seeing the movies when they first came out decades ago.

Like it says on the back cover, this is truly a collection of his best movies. And for me, it introduced 2 of his movies I had never heard of: To Be or Not To Be and the Twelve Chairs. If you like Mel Brooks, you will like this collection. But like me, if you love Mel Brooks, you will love this collection.

For $30, this collection of Mel Brooks movies is worth the money. The bulk of it is all good movies, from The Twelve Chairs to Spaceballs to Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Only flaw is that The Producers, Life Stinks, and Dracula: Dead and Loving It, are not included. Those three, you would have to buy separately.

I saw this on sale at Best Buy and after reading all of the movies included, I just had to have it for my collection. All of the best Mel Brooks movies (except for 'The Producers') are included in a cool little box for storage. Can't wait for the next RAINY day so I can pull these out and have some laughs. This is a great bargain.

Mel Brooks is an acquired taste. For some you either love his stuff or you hate it. I enjoy sight gags, shtick, and crude humor if I am in the right mood, which is most of the time. You can see the progression of his work with his early To Be or Not Be being less funny than the others. But you can see the seeds of what was to follow. He reached his peak with Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles and the best of his best, Young Frankenstein. If you do not like the last laugh line just wait a few minutes and another is coming up to tickle your funny bone.

I can't say enough about Mel Brooks and thankfully someone decided to include most of his best work in this anthology. I would have liked to have had Dracula Dead and Loving It in this collection, but I forgive them because they left his worst film, "Life Stinks" out. Great collection of funny films. Great Purchase. Great price.

I've been a fan of Mel Brooks since Blazing Saddles. Young Frankenstein just sealed the deal. When I saw this collection at a low price, I snapped it up. The inclusion of the movie, The Twelve Chairs was gravy. I had never seen it and enjoyed it when I watched. It is not what most would consider classic Brooks but you can see the future coming. My quibble with this set is that one of the disc, Young Frankenstein (my all-time favorite) does not play all the way through. It gets half-way through then locks up. I discovered this too late to bring the set back and exchange it. I would recommend trying to watch all movies asap in any set. I have a bad habit of not doing that.

I've always loved Mel Brook's movies. I was very excited to purchase his collection. However, I was said that one of my Mel Brooks favorites was not in the collection, "The Producers". I'm still very satisfied with the collection and sure will have many laughs watching his funny classic movies!!!!

Mel Brooks films are not for everybody. My father, after laughing to Blazing Saddles, gave up after 10 minutes of Robin Hood: Men In Tights because it was "too corny". But I loved it. I haven't seen Twelve Chairs yet but I will eventually. This set is unfortunately missing 3 films; The Producers, Life Stinks, and Dracula: Dead And Loving It. Maybe they can include those in a future release of this set. But if you are introducing someone, or yourself, to this master comedy director and writer, this set will do quite well.

I bought this item for my father for Christmas. All the classic Mel Brooks movies together in one great set! Even though he previously owned a few of the films, some of his copies were getting older and this was a great way to consolidate while adding more great films to his collection. It's been a movie marathon all weekend!

This is a great set with a good number of fun movies, where they are all great transfers to blu-ray, and the price was excellent! Too bad there aren't any digital codes, but knew that going in so no stars off for that, but I would have paid more for a digital code option if there was one available.

I was going through the rack and found history of the world and other CD movies. Then i stumbled on this gem. A festival of Mel Brooks movies for a few dollars more than just purchasing History of the World. It is well worth the price and the laughs go on and on. If you like Mel Brooks you will love this CD.

Mel Brooks is one of the most creative, hilarious, and fun to watch actors to be in the business. So to have all of his movies so conveniently packaged was an easy decision. For fans of Mel Brook or those who just love great comedies.

My 18 year old son bought this dvd set because he thinks it is likely to be a collectable some day for people that like humor at the expense of others. He used his own money so what can I say. Mel's humor is old school and would be inappropriate for today's many equality movements. I really can't believe Mel Brooks got away saying all of the things he does in his movies. He's really a disappointment as an actor and I'm sorry that my son ever saw Space Balls. 9 Discs of ridiculousness.

It can't be understated that Mel Brooks is one of the best in the business of making Hollywood comedies. This collection is fantastic having all of his movies in one. His form of Comedy really couldn't work in today's climate so it's nice to have it all preserved for future generations.

Great addition for the Mel Brooks fan ... or actually anyone who enjoys a good comedy. I am a Mel Brooks fan, but had not ever seen a couple of the movies in this collection. I was very pleasantly surprised about the quality of the movies I hadn't seen before. GO FOR IT!

although Mel brooks did have a few hiccups in his career, it's safe to say he's one of the greatest comedy writers and directors ever. This collection has young Frankenstein, blazing saddles, history of the world part 1, and spaceballs. All these are comedy classics and at 30$ for all 8 movies you can't beat that.

This is a great collection of movies. We have always enjoyed watching Mel Brooks movies and now to have most of our favorites all in a single Blue Ray collection is the best. We can finally get rid of the old regular DVD versions of these movies.

There are great movies in this collection worth watching. Back when a movie could poke fun at any aspect of life with the intention of making people laugh. This done before a time when everyone became so sensitive and offended to everything. Great movies worth watching.

Great collection of Mel Brooks. How can you go wrong? If you haven't seen these movies or don't know who Mel Brooks is...You need to introduce yourself. Quality Product with quality content. Not much to say here.
