I thought this was a really cool and fun action movie. Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella are great as their respective characters. It had a ton of great action and makes me want to see the rest of the movies in the Dark Universe.

I am giving this movie 4 stars because the film itself is just okay. The blu-ray looks great though, definitely worth buying!

I was very surprised how much I liked this movie. I had heard mixed reviews before initially renting it and my husband and I both wound up loving it. Too many people have tried to compare this to the original Mummy series with Brendan Fraser, which they shouldn't. Enjoyed this story line even more than that series and loved the humor and wit in the dialogue. Highly recommend.

I really didn't see what all the negativity about this movie was about. I enjoyed it and took it for what it was a monster movie and left the past movie where it belongs, In the PAST. Was entertained by this one

The picture quality is fantastic, even on a 4K tv that doesn’t have hdr. I have a samsung 4K tv and Samsung sound bar (also purchased from Best Buy) and watching this movie looks and feels like I’m at the theater.

I recenty got a 4K UHD TV and a 4K/Blu-ray player. Although I have a huge library of blu-ray and DVD films, I didn't have any 4K discs. So I purchsed this film on 4K (which incides a blu-ray and a digital code) to watch on my new player. The film quality is mond-blowing and the sound is amazing as well. It almost made up for the film itself being not the best IMO.

it is not the best mummy movie. they should have went more dark horror instead of a brendan frasier mummy movie copy but i did like it. i really liked the female mummy. hoping for a second part without tom cruise

Was told by a couple good friends that this was a great movie. I was skeptical but love to watch movies and took a chance. I liked it. Not a life changer, but worth a late weekend night with family and popcorn.

I liked this version. It's night and day from the 90's version, which is good because it's more adult/horror than an adventure movie. Tom Cruise is likeable in it. Interested where the dark universe goes from here.

Not quite an award winner, but this will make for a good movie night. Some of it is predictable although it is fun and exciting to see the outcome of a cursed mummy unleashing it’s powers on the world.

The movie was fun to watch. The only drawback is that Tom Cruse just seemed distracted. He seemed a little puffy in the face, like he was on steroids, and seemed sleepy. With that said, it was still fun to watch.

the previews were unbelievable and I was very excited to see this movie. however after watching it I think the origianls were better. the graphics were great but overall I think tom cruise could have been better.

This flick isn't nearly as bad as I've heard but it sure has a few major problems. In the middle of the movie, it grinds to a halt for 15 or more minutes as we visit monster squad headquarters and dump exposition on everyone. All pacing is just gone. Then we get the fight that is only there to set up the shared universe. The direction is just bland as can be and has no energy. The sets and locations are uninteresting for the most part as well. They try to do some lighting tricks with blue and orange and it just doesn't work. The dialogue is, well, interesting as all of Cruise's lines feel poorly improvised but everyone else feels overwritten, especially Crowe. On the plus side the mummy rules, she is fantastic. I love that Tom Cruise is a terrible person at the start and is a terrible person at the end. Honestly, I think this is why it is so hated, people expect a clear cut hero. The rest of the cast is good. The action is fun with some truly creative ideas. The church fight with zombies was so good. The mummy using glass because she has power over sand was brilliant. In the end The Mummy has some truly good parts that are usurped by poor direction and shoehorning in expanded universe nonsense. It seemed to lack identity as well. It tried being a superhero action film when mummy stories work best as horror or pulp adventure. What we ended up with was fine but not living up to its potential.

It is a good movie except it looked like they watched THE MUMMY with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. It had alot of simular things in it, The Book of the Dead, Head in the sand and a few others.

Do not expect this to be a remake of the Brendan Frasier movie. This is different and also the second installment of the Dark Universe. Tom Cruise being himself as usual but supporting cast is pretty good

A great visual update story of the origina Universal classics. Even though the story line (the mummy is the princess0 it still is great. Even the sequels to the original Boris Karloff version was changed in subsequent Universal sequels. A good add to round up your collection. I like the way they even introduced Dr. Jeykel & Mr. Hyde into this. Good fun to watch

Actually wasn't sure what to expect with this one as I enjoyed the previous Mummy series (first 2 movies). This I did enjoy, and I'm looking forward to what they have in store for the expanded universe.

same ole story about a mummy but with a different spin. It's worth watching. Don't want to give away anything, but its good enough to purchase without knowing anything beyond what I have said so far.
