I’m sorry but it’s time for Tom Cruise and all of Hollywood to stop with the remakes & try something origanal. This was just horrible storyline, acting, producing, you name it horrible.

Total disappointment. I generally enjoy Tom Cruise movies, but this is so bad it should have caused an international incident with Egypt. My wife fell asleep.

I watched it for the first 30 minutes then I felt as sleep. Will definitely not watch it again

This is the worst tom cruise movie I have ever seen.

Don't believe what the critics and Tom Cruise haters are saying. The movie is WAY fun. it's a mindless action/ horror movie that has just that. The action is pretty darn good and there are some genuine scares. Is it the best movie ever? Of course not, but if you are looking to check your brain for a few hours and enjoy a quick paced film, this should be it....

I spent the extra money to get a 4K version so I could really see how my 4K TV and player would deliver. This movie didn't even have enough color for 1080. Mostly dungeon shots and dark shades. Could have been in black and white. An old story as well and not Tom's best. He is usually very good but it appears that he did this one just for the money. Sorry.

I have no idea why this fun movie didn't score big at the box office. I liked it, it is fun watch. I hope they make a sequel for it (with Tom). After Avengers, justice league it is now turn for the monsters universe.

This is a well-crafted film with likeable enough characters (although the film might have benefited from more character development in exchange for a little less action). It's main problem is a very weak story that seems to borrow too much from other films (for instance, Jake Johnson's undead character reminded me of Griffin Dunne's undead character in An American Werewolf in London, Russell Crowe's character reminded me of characters from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and they even used the face formed from sand directly out of the relatively recent Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser. The Brendan Fraser entries to The Mummy franchise are better because they blend in proper proportions action, humor, developed characters and entertaining stories. Although I like most of Tom Cruise's films, and I thought he did a fine job in this film, I can't quite bring myself to recommend this one.
