Did you know Tim Burton had nothing to do with this movie? It's true! He only had an idea and lots of other people did the actual work. But they didn't get their name in the title, did they? They should have been Tim Burton. Like my mom always said - If you can be anyone, be Tim Burton. Unless you can be Batman, then totally be Batman. Who also directed Batman. It's a circle. The classic claymation Christmas movie not made by Franklin and Bass, you'll love and enjoy as a skeleton finds out that if you give someone a bad gift, they will shoot surface to air missiles at you. Truly touching.

Great movie at a great price. Can’t beat it really

I have owned this movie on DVD for many years and never really felt the need to upgrade to the bluray version. I was in the movie aisle at Best Buy just looking around and I noticed The Nightmare Before Christmas Steelbook, I liked the new look of this release and decided to pick this up as well... it is an improvement ( visually ) over the DVD version as expected and the audio is in DTS Master-HD which is nice, if you look closely on the spine of the Steelbook it reads sing-along Edition. I guess it's for those of you who are real fans of this movie and like to sing along you now have this option to do so.

The steelbook casing is really cool and well designed, Jack Skellington's face actually glows in the dark adding more to the spoopiness of it all. While I wish it had a DVD in it too so I could use it in my portable DVD player, it isn't a huge deal especially when they put in Frankenweenie and Vincent. The team that digitally remastered it in HD should be very proud of themselves, it was amazingly well done. The picture quality is superb throughout and the audio is consistent throughout (I have a few older movies that they did not do a good job with the audio when digitally remastering them.) Overall the perfect celebration of this amazing movie.

The Nightmare Before Christmas has always been in our holiday movie watchlist. I have a previously released version of this movie and was very pleased to know about a re-release this year. Now I get to own another Disney movie in a collectible metal packaging, and as an added bonus, it also comes with a code to give you access to the digital version of the movie to watch on mobile devices. When I purchased my copy in-store, there weren't very many being sold (my store only had 3 copies on the shelf on release day). The metal packaging had a really nice artwork that adds to its display value on a shelf. Even cooler - the artwork glows in the dark!

As a big fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, once I saw this steelbook copy, I just had to have it. It includes a Blu-ray disc as well as a digital code that can be redeemed with the Movies Anywhere platform. The design of this steelbook is great; although it's a bit on the simple side, I think it fits well with TNBC and it's art style. Plus, Jack's face on the front cover glows in the dark. You can't really ask for more than that. There is also a gorgeous sketch of Sally on the back cover, along with more sketch-like artwork on the inside. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this steelbook, and I'd definitely recommend it!

Presenting again with another, hopefully not lengthy review before I forget what I've seen a couple of days ago. The Nightmare Before Christmas comes with 2 discs, 1 Blu-ray and 1 Disney Disc Another film from the maker of "Coraline" Henry Selick. The film retains 1:66:1 AR with aa small pillarbox bars on the sides of the 16:9 frame. The picture is amazing, dazzling, and vivid, revealing even a small detail (if you watch closely). The puppets in this film looked stunning and the colors were flawless throughout the film. I thought my screen had problems but found out that the film itself has high color details. Not surprised with Disney's BD authoring process though!. Not to forget the transfer was good at the average of 31mbps. I must admit this is a well-crafted stop motion animation although it was done years ago and I truly enjoyed the musical show. As usual, not gonna excessively write about sound as chosen Dolby True HD 7.1 and it sounded amazing for such an old animated film. The bass was good somehow. Precisely refined sound and good work was done over here. The Extras are another major highlight of the release. It has plenty of Extras to watch as I've skipped them for now.

Good movie, a little different for me as a Christmas movie. But I could see the appeal for younger people. More than likely I will watch it again.

What a great animated Halloween movie from Tim Burton. Looks good, sounds good on the Blu-ray HD format. Menus are good with easy selections. Audio is fairly good for this edition. Would love to see a new 4K version steelbook in 2023! We also get a digital copy here, but check to see if it is still good since this version was released in 2018 for the 25th Anniversary.

Bought this steelbook to add to the collection of Disney steelbooks and to add the 3d version in. Great steelbook Bestbuy, keep'em com'in!

man, people pushed me and pushed me and pushed me to way chi this film for many many years and it just never caught my attention. this movie was blown out of proportion by all of my friends and family members so i lost interest in it. finally i gave in and i decided to buy it and i have to say this was a fun family film to watch! i cant really say ,much about it since i was a bit sleepy when i saw this, but i do know that i did like it and i do recommend it for the entire family

Ok, I know it's a cartoon and I know that everyone thinks all kids should watch cartoons, but I'm going to say NO to this one. This is an entertaining show; my tweens and teens love it, but my youngers are NOT interested and honestly, I think it's a little scary for them. We all looooove the music and listen to it a lot -- so the younger kids are anxious to watch -- but I think we'll be waiting on making this a Friday Family Film Festival (yes, we love those at our house!) until all the kids are a little older!

I picked up in store and it had a few scratches but it was the last copy! Other than that I'm happy and the movie is awesome

Super fun sing along version and bonus features. If you have any fans of this movie this version is alot of fun

The movie was great overall. The animation is very stylish and unique, that could only have come from Tim Burton. It's not so much of a Christmas story as it is a love story. The main character felt he was missing something in the beginning and thought what he needed was Christmas, but really it was the love that was associated with Christmas. He found out that after nearly destroying Christmas. He accepts who he is and finds his true love in a doll. However, he didn't really find out what Christmas was (or means)... at least the director didn't emphasize it much.

Older movie, but got it for a good price. Glad I was able to add it to the Disney collection in time for the holidays.

Excellent movie from when I was growing up! Good for Halloween, Christmas, or any other time of the year!

This is an entertaining movie that is good for Halloween and Christmas. How many movies can say that?

Fun movie to watch with the kids. Kids got to watch it, loved discovering jack and company again.

Nice to have this classic in a current format to share with our kids. They are a big fan of it!
