This is the original version of the Outsiders movie and so much of the story was edited out. The 25th anniversary edition is available with 21 minutes of new footage that follows the novel. Also includes a bonus DVD with conversations with the director and stars. Skip this one and look for the complete novel version.

Not what I was expecting from a good collection of young actors. It was slow and mostly Boring. I can see why only Tom cruise went on to be a star him self even though he wasn’t a big part of the movie. The rest of the actors have a average career at best

Fan of the mov and I’ve seen this movie dozens of times and I figured I should purchase the “complete novel” edition on Blu-ray for the deleted scenes. However, I was extremely disappointed because it’s been botched. They removed the original score and soundtrack and replaced it with some cheap, pitiful and cheesy rock instrumental that is overpowering and drowns out the actual acting.

In a nutshell, I received 2 separate versions of the bluray edition. For some reason the image is choppy and degraded. Other movies tested good but not these 2.

Great novel, great movie. I just want to say, I love the original soundtrack. It added more emotion and depth to the portrayals. I think the "complete novel" is fine, and my kids enjoyed it; but I find the use of pop music to be over the top. Too loud in scenes that used to be quiet and somber. drowns out the dialogue in most scenes. Going to get the DVD of theatrical release for sure.

Awesome! My niece loved it! She has been waiting for this movie to come in the mail since she read the novel in her English class. The movie they watched had shorter footage so this is the longer version with the extended footage.

I remember this movie as a kid and its was exciting to see that my daughter was reading the book in school. Then they got to see the moive. She has wanted it since. So it was for christmas and the best movie!!

Great movie with a lot of great actors. Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez and Tom Cruise.

I read this book in school so after we were done some of us rented it to see what the movie was like and it was really good. The book enhanced it though.

I love the outsiders the book is amazing and coppola matched the book so Fantasticly! It was a Favorite of mine when i was a kid and still is!!
