A truly great HBO series that never received the popularity of it's predecessor "Band of Brothers". A part of World War II that truly needed to be told. What these soldiers went through is nothing short of amazing.

Excellent movie. If you liked Band of Brother's, you'll enjoy this one too. It gives you a glimpse of what war is really like. It's definitely a must see.

This is such a great product to watch & see what some Marines went through during WWII. How it was & getting to know a little bit about one of The Marine Corps greatest Marines: Colonel Chesty Puller. Great man & even better Marine!

The Pacific is a fantastic HBO miniseries that is a lot like Band of Brothers though I wouldn't go into it expecting a show like that because its a bit different

Any work, be it a poem, a book, a movie, or a TV series, should be evaluated for what it is, not for what it is not. So I suggest forgetting comparisons to "Band of Brothers" and let "The Pacific" stand alone, which it does very well

Amazing depiction of the pacific portion of the war, while I've always enjoyed Band of Brothers more this one is still great. I highly recommend to anyone.

Pictorial and historical timeline of WW11, allowed me to put my fathers combat experience in perspective and putting all the pieces of the global military and political picture together! Great resource material!

The Pacific gives a unique view of the heroic men who fought for our the United States against the Japanese. It is very moving and gives one a great sense of debt to the men who actually endured the war in the Pacific

My dad was stationed in the Pacific during WWII. He never talked about his experiences and, thanks to Steven and Tom, I have an idea how how difficult life was. Only God's grace brought him home to mom and me.

If you liked Band of Brothers this series is just what you need. I really enjoy the direction in both series and this one felt almost like a continuation but in the Pacific front. Must own for Ww2 movie l enthusiasts.

I love the story portrayed in this mini series. I watched this because I loved the Band of Brothers. Great insight to how life was for the soldiers fighting in the Pacific during World War II. I love this series.

I have heard such great things about this after the first band of brothers came out that I just went ahead and took a chance on scooping it out for a $10 on Black Friday. They are just so well done that they are timeless.

The second brilliant Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks WW 2 HBO miniseries. The special effects were very realistic. The lives of the Marines that this Epic was based was about 85% Historically Accurate. .

I thought that Band of Brothers couldn't be topped, but I was wrong. Every time I watch this series, I have the theme song stuck in my head for weeks. This is a high quality rendering of the series.

This series is the companion to Band of Brothers and focuses on the pacific theater during WWII. It really helps you feel like you're part of the action and living the day to day struggle of these brave men.

Saw series on HBO a number of years ago along with Band of Brothers. Since I already have Band of Brothers had to purchase the Pacific series especially at the price point it was available on black Friday.

Although I have yet to watch the show, this review is strictly based on the packaging and price point. The packaging is great, heavy duty stuff. But the real draw to this was the price...I couldn't pass it up!

Having a father that served in the Pacific in World War II, now I know why he did not talk about it. Excellent series about the Pacific campaign. Marine Vets would be proud of this story. It was a terrible time and the men sacrificed greatly so we could have this Nation. After watching this you will know why we call them the Greatest Generation. Recommend this for your movie library.
