This epic describes the tales of Marines including the legendary John Basilone. These men answered the call for their nation and deserve to have their tales told and listened to by us.

The Pacific is a classic miniseries that looks fantastic in HD, as well as a great companion piece to the other miniseries Band of Brothers.

If you have never seen this you need to! You will get a glimpse of what it was like in WW2. You will have more respect for those crotchety old men than you do now.

A movie to keep and what more do you want being on a blu ray and what else, it was on sale during black friday, even though not on sale i would still recommend buying it

This is a great documentary on the Marine during the world war II. The package is very good too. it is one of best shows. Highly recommended if you are into the US WWII history.

This was purchased as a gift. I was browsing and found it at an unbelievable sale price. It was a big hit for Christmas.

Love it. Great re-enactments cinematography just like band of brothers. Another great HBO production w/actual interviews from the real marines who the series portrays. Very good highly recommend! Didnt give 5 star cuz its not available in 4K.

Great series that goes right along with Band of Brothers. There's alot of focus on the European Theater of WWII. It's great to see some for the Pacific Theater.

While Band of Brothers was great in all respects the Pacific doesnt reach that level but it is a worthy successor by the team that brought the first. It starts off a bit slower than Band of Brothers but really picks up in the second half. It's a great new look at historical events that should be remembered and those that sacrificed not forgotten.

This is a terrific series and fits in well behind Band of Brothers. Definitely worth watching.

Everyone should watch this sequel to Band of Brothers to try and appreciate what the "greatest generation" did for us fighting the Japanese island to island in the Pacific. Well done

I bought this Fathers Day week on sale at BestBuy. The price was so low I couldn't resist. One of the best War series for my DVD Collection. A must have for fans of war movies.

The story of the men involved in the Pacific and Band of Brothers is breath taking. The directing is amazing, the video quality is superb, and the extras are well worth the watch.

Was a huge fan of Band of Brothers and while this series isn't exactly the same, it comes extremely close. If you are a fan of WWII, or movies about them, this is a must purchase!
