I have owned this movie since it became available. Trying to keep up with subtitles takes away from taking in the story. I value the story's content, and since the movie has been rendered with English sound, the value is enhanced.

I also had this on DVD, Blu-Ray is much better. Thank You

I loved this movie from the 1st time I saw it. This movie is really about Christ going to the cross. This was about his last days leading to the Crucifixion of christ. When you watched this movie you felt like what he went through as he was beaten all the way to the cross that this was nothing short of reality. Great job producing this movie!...

126 minutes long and I would guess at least 100 of those mins maybe more, are specifically and graphically with the details of the torture and death of Jesus. This is one the most violent film I have seen.

Still remember going to see this in the theater. It had already been out for weeks. I was dealing with some health issues and out of work as a result. But decided I wanted to see it, my dad and brother joined me last minute. Theater was still getting packed out for each showing. And in the end hardly a dry eye walked out of the theater. Haven't watched it in English yet, don't know if I want to.

Great movie. Very powerful and moving. A must see!

Whether you're a Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, or any type of religious sect, even if you're an Atheist, I personally recommend anyone to watch this masterpiece. Forget about getting too engaged into the religious aspect of this film because it's NOT exactly the core focal point of the story, but rather is the story about the power of sacrifice, the unconditional love, the sacrifice and the power of forgiveness.

This movie is an extremely moving, emotional experience. Brilliant cast and incredible directing by Mel Gibson. The movie depicts the final 12 hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth on the day of his crucifixion. I remember seeing this in the cinema and when the movie was over I looked around and people were not moving from their seats. Very intense and at $4.99 a no-brainer.

This excellent Blu-ray release gives you 2 versions of the movie, one of which should appeal to those taken aback by the gory violence of the theatrical version. Several commentaries clarify Gibson's intentions, and the visual/audio are stronger than I experienced at the cinema. A great buy at $6.

The whole movie is in Hebrew language but has subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Very gory and gruesome with the way they killed Jesus, its an ok movie but a must see at least once.

This movie is graphic and will tug at the heart strings of the viewer. It gives us an impression of just a glimpse at what christ did as he suffered for all sinners. No matter you religion it is a great movie. Not exact to scriptures but is fairly close. Great movie. It might be ruff for small children.

I really enjoyed this movie because I am Christian and it tells me what actually happened during the final 12 hours of Jesus Christ. I recommend this movie to anyone who is a believe in the Lord Jesus. Producer did a very good job in producing this movie.

I bought this for my mom. She's always loved this film and best buy had an unbeatable deal. Mel Gibson's direction is assured and the film is undoubtedly quite moving albeit rather gruesome in it's depiction of the crucifixion. Watch it if you can handle it.

There are parts that are very graphic and hard to watch, so imagine living through that. All in all beautiful film, and once again Best Buy had it so I would not have to order from online shops with a long wait for delivery and risk packaging and disk arriving damaged.

I'm not much of a fan of the director, but i must say. This movie was excellent. It lends insight to one man's interpretation of the plight of Christ. This was a good movie and it actually makes you think. I good introduction into the understanding of the Crucifixion of Christ. I liked it a lot. Two thumbs up

Let's face it: despite all of the controversy surround Mel Gibson and the allegations, this is a powerful and true to Scripture representation of the crucifixion. I cried when I saw this in theaters, and it is still just as moving today. Jim Caveziel deserved an Oscar for this role and Mel Gibson deserved best director.

After watching this movie again on DVD (where I saw it first in the cinema) it still has the same gut wrenching feeling. This film may not be recommended for the weak of heart, because of the intense scenes of violence. But once overcoming the film progress, one is filled with this sense of reflection of oneself, of course not all may experience it or may have other effects, but for me it was that sense of feeling that overcame me after the film.

This movie makes me cry every time. It'll take a lifetime & more just to fully understand how much CHRIST went through, The punishment was nothing short of torture. I recomend this movie if you want to have a honest good idea of what CHRIST went through

A good movie at the time but misconstrued on the message. Don't focus on the horrors of what Jesus went through. Focus on his message and atonement.

You can't ever beat the greatest event in history, just in general. But when Mel Gibson did this, he was truly inspired and is by far the best end-story of Jesus' death period. All Christians should watch this to always remember truly what he did for us all who desire to believe & know the truth.
