Great xmas movie to watch with the kids during the holidays.

If you like Charlie Brown at all, if you have fond memories of the old TV specials, you will love this movie. It included references to many great scenes from the old movies and the comic strips, but the story was much more than a series of gags. It was a wonderful story with exactly the ending you want. The way Snoopy's Red Baron story was woven in with Charlie Brown's story was very well done. I really enjoyed the "look" of the movie too; an interesting blend of "comic strip," hand animation, and computer animation. Totally recommend this to people of all ages.

If you are a fan of the classic Peanuts comics or cartoons then this is perfect for you. If this is your first introduction to this franchise then you are in for a treat. It is an innocent story with wonderful characters and beautiful animation that combines what kids are used to today with what parents remember. Perfect use of CGI. I was smiling the whole time watching this, Charlie Brown is such a great kid and his dog Snoopy is so funny throughout. Watch this movie with your whole family knowing you are in for a fantastic ride.

Like many people, I was nervous when I first saw the "computer animated" images. FEAR NOT. This is pure "Charlie Brown" through and through. They manage to include a little bit of everything you want, but it is much more than a collection of random clips. It is a GREAT STORY. There is a good moral to the story, without being preachy. I would love to say more, but I don't want to include any spoilers. The bonus features are also very excellent, so I recommend getting the BluRay (or BluRay+DVD) so you get all of behind-the-scenes commentary.

I remember reading Peanuts comics for as long as I can remember. Also watching all the mini shows and movies were released through its run in history. Every holiday seemed to produce a Peanuts animated movie. So seeing all the characters come to life again in the big screen and of course in home viewing was a welcome nostalgia. I felt young again watching a cartoon that didn't need rude humor or crude behavior to get a laugh or any ultra adult situations that were to advance for younger viewers. The movie was fun and was well done animation wise. I recommend watching at least once. This was a part of my childhood and rightful so took me back. That is why I purchased the blu-Ray. If you want a taste of good clean family fun then The Peanuts Movie is a good way to go.

As a huge Peanuts fan, I went into this movie merely hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed. The previews didn't do much for me and made the film look a little too over the top for my tastes. Thankfully though, my fears were proved wrong. The film has the right amount of charm and touches on most of the classic Peanuts themes. It was a very pleasant surprise. I could hardly wait to get the blu ray and just like the movie, the blu ray doesn't disappoint. Get this for the kids...the real ones and the kids in all of us.

I was a bit skeptical about Peanuts being made into a new movie, but after watching it I can say I'm pleasantly surprised. All of the characters are animated and voiced true to their original forms (ok, Snoopy does have some new tricks but it's completely in line with the original TV and movie shows). The story line is familiar (Charlie still has issues trying to get the little red headed girl's attention, he still gets clobbered at the baseball mound, etc) but the movie is really well done. It's great for all ages.

This movie has all the Peanuts elements I had hoped for. If you're a Peanuts fan, you will definitely pickup on all the nods to the comic and fan services moments. The way they blended those great comic strip moments into one cohesive film and engaging story, complete with defining moments and life lessons was extraordinary. All that without blending or ripping off anything from the classic holiday specials. If you're new to Peanuts, this is the perfect introduction. Picture and sound is awesome. Highly recommended.

For over 50 years we grew up with Charlie Brown. From reading the comics in newspapers to watching the movies on the big screen. Now Charlie Brown and his friends come back in a new adventure of this amazing legendary cartoon. Charlie Brown finds his first crush of the red hair girl. He thinks that this girl is so beautiful, so inspiring that he would do anything he can to find if she what was truly special behind Charlie Brown. Watch the movie and read the comics and find the legendary story of Charlie brown.

Any hesitation I may have had about whether the movie stayed true to the spirit of the classic Peanuts characters almost instantly faded. What an absolutely charming movie that was a fitting tribute to the classic characters that multiple generations have now grown up with. Amazingly, the 3-D renders of the characters were true to the original designs and worked perfectly with the feel of the movie. I would love to see another go round with these characters in this style and hope we get a sequel soon.

This movie is special and a must see for any fans of Peanuts. It's clear the animators took great pride in their work, and created a 3D style that perfectly matched the original source material. The voice work was also exceptionally well done - unique but still a good callback to original classics such as A Charlie Brown Christmas. The story is a bit meandering, but it ultimately comes to a beautifully poignant end with a clear, wonderful message. An incredible movie and highly recommended.

I am a Peanuts fan and I thought this movie was going to be like a lot of others that have been remade and are not good at all so I didn't even bother to go see it at a theater. It was on sale though so I decided why not? I need kids movies for my job so I figured even if I didn't like it the kids would and I bought it. Boy was I surprised! I totally love it! It was the cutest movie I've seen in a long time! I can watch it over and over LOL! Totally recommend it for everyone of all ages!

The Peanuts Movie is a delight for all Peanuts fans. The Charles Schulz characters come alive in a new and different way than what you liked about the comic strips and TV specials. Animated by the makers of Ice Age, the Peanuts gang takes you on a new adventure that is fun and proves that every underdog can have his day. This Collector's Edition came with a mini Snoopy plush, that inspires you to want to find a mini dog house to sit him on, so that he can fly off after the Red Baron.
