They say it's Wes Craven's most satisfying film; maybe, maybe not. Regardless, it's just plain fun and unique. You'll never see another horror film quite like it and you certainly won't be disappointed. "A literal redistribution of wealth"---you'll understand what I mean by the end of the movie.

It’s a cd with a movie on it. Doesn’t work with my tape player tho still waiting for my kids to come over and show me how to work this contraption

An underappreciated and often forgetten Wes Craven film. It's a nice blend of horror/dark comedy/satire. The name lives up to the title (you'll know what I mean by the end).

Hearing Wes Craven's name usually means that the heaviness comes hard and fast with horror, but he can also be funny. The special features are great.

It may not be Wes Craven's best movie, but it sure is one of his good ones. This version also supplemental material that the barebones Blu Ray does not.

The People Under the Stairs is a crazy, twisted, funny, and very enjoyable film that may be over looked by most. Released in 1991, the film was a modest success and easily won me over. After having not watched it in over 15 years, I ordered the Blu-Ray and can say that it has actually held up quite well. Their will always be a certain cheesiness about it, but in comparing this to other films of the time, it doesn't feel old. The picture quality is quite good also and I would assign a rating of 4/5. If you enjoy crazy horror/comedies, you owe it to yourself to give The People Under the Stairs a watch.

people under the stairs is not really a horror movie but a fun movie to watch Wes craven did a pretty good job making this movie and it is not like any of his other movies so if you want to watch a different kind of movie but not really a horror movie than watch people under the stairs and there are some parts in it that are funny and some parts that are kinda scary but over all pretty good movie now i just wish they would release Wes cravens shocker and deadly friend on blu-ray
