i really like this movie seen it as a kid and the bluray copy was good.

One of the best all time comedies!!!! Rodents of Unusual Size o exist

I can't believe I didn't have this movie on Blu-ray until now. Inconceivable! I truly love everything about this wonderful movie. It literally has everything. Wonderful characters, storylines, action, romance, and a great sense of humor. How great is Inigo Montoya? And yay for the late Andre the Giant! I am so happy to have this great movie on Blu-ray.

The Princess Bride may be seen as a cult classic but it still holds up incredibly well over time. While the plot is basic (save the princess), the acting is decent and two of the principals will go on to bigger and better (Mandy Patinkin and Robin Wright) making this movie all the more endearing. Containing one of the greatest lines in movies (My name is ..... Prepare to..,) this is a picture the entire family can enjoy.

This is an excellent adaptation of the novel and is very well done.

You'd have to be a six fingered man or a giant that likes to rhyme not to have this in your collection already. Funny how I'm still discovering people whom have never seen this movie. Your lives are less joyous because you have skipped this gem. One of my top 5 movies of all time. Not because of any great acting, but a joyous story that will live forever. Too well written and funny to be ignored anymore. Avoid the swamp and discover a classic.

This movie grabs you within the first couple of minutes and you’ll want to rewatch it with your kids, your spouse, you’re neighbors. It’s just such a fun and awesome story told in a brilliant way and narrated with such cleverness. You will memorize the lines to this movie and annoy others with them until they watch it and memorize the lines and annoy others with them until they...well, you get the point.

I remembered watching when I was young. Enjoyed this movie.

This is a classic comedy that is appropriate for all ages

One of my favorites. Never gets old even after 30 years

For those of us who came of age in the 80's, few movies are more beloved (or, let's face it, quotable) than Rob Reiner's The Princess Bride. The film's gorgeous cinematography really shines in high definition. And a selection of bonus features is sure to delight fans. In my opinion, no Blu-ray collection is complete without The Princess Bride. Plus, at the time of purchase, it was a steal at only $7.99. But don't steal it. . .buy your copy. Now.

this is a wonderful movie for the whole family...absolutely entertaining for the young ones and the adult...nice to have a great story on video for a change...blu-ray reproduction very well done and added bonus material quite entertaining as well...watch it a 2nd time with commentary; again you will like as well...forgot how old this movie is and will always be treasured...it is always a delight with blu-ray quality on a high-end system...you won't be disappointed...

Quoting one of these catch phrases from The Princess Bride will elicit smiles from just about anyone who's seen this film that plays with the fairy-tale formula in a way that entertains all ages while making insightful commentary on our human condition and relationships. This is one of the best works of novelist/screenwriter William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Marathon Man).

I think this is a wonderful movie! I have been watching it from time to time for 20 years or so. Adventure! Love! Awesomeness! All in the realm of the Bahama! Isn't it amazing!? If someone like me (and trust and believe I am myself) can talk about the realm of the Bahama and really enjoy this movie then please know for sure that you might like it. It doesn't mean that you will! But you might! Best wishes world! I'm rooting for you :)

I don't know where you've been living if you haven't seen the Princess Bride, but you need to remedy the situation stat! This is probably the most quotable movie of all time. It's truly the gift that keeps on giving. I already owned the movie on DVD, but in this case you get both the higher picture quality of Blu ray PLUS a digital copy!!! Now you can take this classic anywhere. Buy it. You won't regret it.

This movie is in a league of it's own. It is wonderful, funny, and magical all at once. It is "inconceivable" to me that there is someone out there that has not seen this movie before; should there be such a person, buy this movie! You won't be disappointed because it has an amazing cast that will delight you and make you laugh out loud. It is a beautiful love story that is great for the whole family. Love, true love...

My wife loves this movie and I really enjoyed it as well.

I like this movie for a number of reasons. One being that a favorite musician of mine, Mark Knopfler, wrote the music for the movie. My wife had never seen this movie and it is such a classic - with memorable quotes, that I wanted her to see it. And it's one that we'll watch more than once. The same DVD was more expensive at Amazon and there would have been a shipping charge. I'm really glad that Best Buy had it in stock.

Even after more than 25 years this movie still holds up. A classic to be sure. Maybe because I remember Andre the Giant in his wrestling days and never thought of him as a real person with a real personality until watching the extra features. Writing about the movie now makes me want to watch it again. I don't know where this stands in the top best movies of all time but it has my vote for being in the top 50.

I watched this movie plenty of times when growing up, and still quote it to this day; replying "As you wish" when someone asks a favor of me among others. This particular release includes an Ultraviolet Digital HD code that I immediately redeemed to easily share with friends through linked accounts and be able to watch on any device. Still waiting for MGM to release the rest of their catalog with Ultraviolet codes!
