This movie is a gruesome, somewhat true/realistic view of the crazy journey of revenge that we go on with the character Hugh Glass. This movie has an indie feel at times but on a cinematic scale. This is all expounded upon through the medium of 4k which has some breathtaking shots of the great up north. Hunker down and grab a blanket for this one because it's a crazy ride!

There is no other word to use than masterpiece. There is not many if any flaws with this film. The acting was remarkable. From Leonardo's (long overdue) Oscar winning performance and Tom Hardy's amazing Oscar worthy performance, to the extras. The natural light, the sound, it was all amazing. The story is amazing. The Revenant is a film for the ages. It is a must own in my opinion.

The Revenant was a hard movie to watch but harder to not watch once you started and wanting to find out what happens with the main character and the main bad guy so to speak. Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Hardy were equally convincing in their roles. The movie takes you on a fast paced and painful journey of what life could be like in the past. It is definitely not for the squeamish.

This is another film that really made me appreciate 4K. It is visual striking and the intensity of the action sequences is ramped up at such a high resolution. Personally I think 4K videos are on average too expensive and as such I am very selective about which ones I buy. The price on this was great and this is a movie worthy of being in my video collection.

Saw this in theaters when it was released. The amazing use of long shots and beautifully directed visuals and dialogue makes for a captivating performance by all. Can’t watch just once. Couldn’t believe it took me so long to buy it in 4K!

This is the reason why people will upgrade to 4K The movie itself is fantastic very bloody and violent but that is how it was back then. Brutal times But the picture is so amazing that if you have the proper setup 4K with a real 1000 nit HDR TV you will be blown away there are scenes in this movie where it looks like a window. WOW!!! Highly recommended

I know some of it is Hollywood magic, but they did a great job making you feel like it was happening right in front of you. The bear attack is an example of what I mean. Leo deserved his Oscar, not only for a great performance, but for all the "on set "stuff (Ice cold temperatures while filming the river scenes). The rugged landscape and storyline should appeal to most anyone.

The Revenant is a realistic, gritty epoch of a film. I had to view it twice to make sure that I didn't miss anything. Leonardo DiCaprio does this movie justice. If you liked "Titanic", you'll love this one. The photography is amazing and captures all the dark scenery and gore that you can possibly handle.The scene with the bear will give you nightmares.

Movie was really good, acting great and action scenes well done. Movie drawn out to show the extreme survival situations placed on the main character. Shows a time period not reflected in a lot of movies makes for an interesting experience. Not as epic as some other films that it would need to be watched over and over but on sale or rental is a great value for this title.

Leo definitely earned his Oscar with this one! Very dark movie, and a little more graphic than I expected it to be. (No, it was not the bear part. Actually that wasn't that bad compared to some of the rest of it!) Thoroughly enojoyed the movie and would definitely watch again! I do not have a 4K blu ray player yet so I only watched in 1080 but still a great looking movie.

This movie is a lot of acting without speaking and is almost a movie full of emotion and captivating vistas that are brought to life in 4K. Should see but I'm not sure what to tell you to expect. I enjoyed this film. A lot of beautifully captured vistas and action scenes. DiCaprio makes you feel like you're right there with him throughout the entire movie.

This movie is on the long side, but when I first watched it it didn't feel like it dragged on at all. I was drawn into the world and story of the main character. Visceral is the best word I can use to describe this film. In many ways it just feels so real, and aptly portrays the dangers and beauty of nature, the spirit of men and the startling conflicts of early America.

If you wanna show off your brand new shinning 4k Blu-ray player and 4k tv especially an OLED then this is the movie to show! Just jaw dropping! Words can't explain the beauty and contrast! Best details I've ever seen in a movie! And of course the movie is great itself! 10 out of 10........definitely recommend! (notice how every sentence ended in an exclamation point!)

Iñarritu's foray into the Wild West is a monumental achievement. After a long and difficult shoot the results are stellar. Leonardo DiCaprio leads the cast with a great performance for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. The cinematography by Emmanuel Lubezki is beautiful. This is a must have for anyone with a 4K setup.

This movie is what it is. Check rotten tomatoes for a review of the film. I'm reviewing the stunning picture in 4k. I am running a Pioneer Elite SC-95 receiver with the newer Xbox one S running through it. I have an embarrassing amount of 4k movies already but this, by far, takes the cake for the most stunning visuals. Screw the film, buy it for the eye-candy.

This movie got it all. You can never go wrong with Leo. This movie was so good that you can watch it over and over again especially in 4k HDR. Very intense and a lot of action. You will not believe what one man will go thru just to get to where he is. Highly recommended. If you haven't seen this movie, go watch it already. What are you waiting for?

What can I say that hasn't already been said. This is an excellent movie. But what really makes it stand out is the 4K and HDR. This is one of the top three 4K movies that's out right now as far as picture quality goes. If you have a good 4K TV this will really show it off. The bear scene still gives me chills. This is a must own for any 4K collection.

Leo DiCaprio plays a tracker with an indian son who has to fight those that he was helping for reasons that you would need to watch to find out about. Lets just say that blood runs deep in this one and vengeance can be a powerful tool that drive a man to go above and beyond. Great movie, great cast, and great cinematography. A nice addition to any movie collection.

I saw The Revenant in the theatre. I was totally riveted by the story based around true events and Leonardo DiCaprio's acting! It contained so many messages. You will be deeply drawn in to what this man went through. I so wanted to see it again, but didn't. Thrilled to discover a $4.99 sale on the Blu-ray version. Thanks Best Buy!

Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his overdue Oscar for this harrowing film. No less impressive is Tom Hardy who was also nominated as supporting best actor. The snowy landscapes look quite impressive when this Blu Ray is played with 4K upscaling! The very skillful use of cgi, such as in the bear attack is completely convincing. The film is an instant classic!
