There is nothing to say when such a promising and legendary actor such as Leonardo wins his first ever Academy award with this performance that this is truly a must see movie. Leonardo is at his best with this movie and it is well written film all about survival and betrayal. This movie has heart and it deserved every honor it won at this years Oscar's

(Spoiler Free) This a visually stunning movie punctuated by incredible performances. The hardship endured by the protagonist is difficult to watch but mirrors the suffering of the actual individual portrayed in the film. I only wish that the filmmakers had not taken such liberty with the depiction as the actual events were amazing enough to merit a movie.

The picture and sound quality was fantastic. This is a long but wonderful movie. I enjoy landscape photography in the Rocky Mountains and the scenery in this movie is mind blowing! The bear attack scene is extremely realistic and although Leonardo does not conduct a lot of dialog within the movie it does not detract from a great film. Enjoy The Revenant!!!

This movie has almost everything you could want. Top tier acting, Good story, depth, conflict, Great atmosphere, emotion, Good action. The only drawback to some is that there are some parts that drag along and are a little slow. This movie also looks amazing in ultra 4k. No Dolby atmos though for some reason but it still sounds good.

Very slow movie but picture and sound are demo-worthy of course. Colors and details pop. What a performance by Leo! Not even my type of movie but still greatly enjoyed it which is saying something.

It could be argued that Leo deserved an Oscar more for Wolf of Wall Street, The Great Gatsby, or Django Unchained; not that he didn't deserve the nod for this role, but Tom Hardy is the true scene stealer here. More importantly, The Revenant is a director's movie. It's a visual experience full of both beauty and brutality, sometimes simultaneously.

My favorite movie from that year. I didn’t own a blue ray disc player and recently got one. The picture is more beautiful than I remember it. Sound engineering on point. This is Alejandro's most beautiful masterpiece in my opinion.

Just bought a new LG Oled65e6p TV and heard this was a good movie to showcase what my TV could do. To say the least my wife and I were literally blown away by the cinematography, awesome!! The movie was very interesting, although a little far fetched at times. It kept our attention do to the beautiful picture, must see in 4K with HDR.

I honestly can't imagine watching this movie on DVD, it would be such a waste. I haven't seen the UHD Blu-ray, but I can say the film looks extraordinary on this Blu-ray. Probably one of the best Blu-rays I've ever seen. Definitely worth picking up, especially with the awesome making-of documentary that also comes on the disc.

This movie has some intense action . the acting is some of the best of Leonardo DiCaprio's career. the suspense is at the edge of your seat. The video and audio are excellent . the Blu ray disc give you better audio than the standard definition disc . a must have movie . I t will be one of those movies you will want to watch more than once.

As I'm sure you're well aware, this is the film that finally got Leonardo his Oscar. That alone is definitely worth checking out. He gives his all. In addition to that, this film is almost just as much of an experience as it is a movie. The cinematography is brilliant. Framing, storytelling, and pacing were also a treat. Check it out!

The cinematography in this movie is incredible! If you have a 4K HDR tv this movie will make you wonder if you are really back in early America with the fur traders. This movie is also filmed in winter so there are a lot of dark scenes so it's perfect to keep around when friends want to see just how good the new OLED tvs really are.

Its a pleasure to see on location shooting and not lean on heavy CGI. The landscape is stunning and beautiful which contrasts with the darkness surrounding the story which at times is very graphic and bloody. The story pulls you along at times with no talking at all and it works well. Excellent movie, will keep you on edge of your seat.

I really enjoyed this movie. There was plenty of action, but there are a lot of slow parts. Leonardo DiCaprio was very good in this movie. The Blu ray itself was a good setup. I rarely buy movies on bluray without having seen them at least once first, but The Revenant was not one I had seen before. I don't regret this purchase at all.

It is a little hard to review a DVD or Blu-Ray as I am expected to review the movie instead of the device. It is a good movie. It is hard and sometimes hard to watch. Not recommended for kids. The story line is pretty much as expected. The scenery and photography are great. If you have the stomach to watch it, it really is a good movie.

This movie sounds and looks incredible on my Sony A1E. Mix in a good surround system and you are right in this. The visuals are stunning and the sound is amazing. One of my favorite movies to throw on and enjoy. Makes you certain you got your money's worth on an expensive sound system and TV set up.

this is a great movie. an extreme adrenaline pumping movie from start to finish. total psychotic future. if you are looking for an action movie of the year , a movie that's different than all the usual summer blockbusters coming this year , then look no further and pick this one up . you will not regret it.

Ive watched this so many times...... the scenery, the music being played in the movie, the whole layout of the movie is fantastic. This movie is not for all. Its little slow but detail and accuracy of this unbelievable. Also if you like laidback instrumental music i would recommend everyone to checkout the soundtrack. Very relaxing.

My TV is equipped for 4K and HDR viewing and this is definitely one of my favorite movies to watch in 4K HDR. The colors are incredible. Especially the scene where the fire embers float to the sky. They did an incredible job shooting this film and the new format does it justice. Definitely add to your collection of 4K Blurays.

The 4K and hdr look great on this film . The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the format it was filmed in. It was filmed 21:9 aspect ratio versus the16:9 like most tvs so you have two large black bars on the top and bottom making the picture look very small on a 65" tv from 7 feet away. I was told that this would be great to see what the 4ktv is capable of but I would reccomend pacific rim for that since it is in 16:9. This movie has some great natural lighting scenes which take full advantage of the hdr aspect.
