Finally the one that gave Leo his Oscar! The cinematography is amazing! 4k does wonders for the landscapes portrayed. The great use of natural light makes the colors pop. The story may be simple but is such a tense ride it is worth watching until the end.

Really enjoyed watching this film. The 4K transfer was amazing. A brutal film but very well made. I’d definitely recommend it if not for the cinematography alone. Don’t pass on this one!!!

The Revenant is graphic in its depiction of life during America's fur trade Era. However, the conclusion of the movie does not match historical fact. The Revenant is a good follow up to Man In The Wilderness, with Richard Harris playing the role of Sam Bass, and an earlier accounting of the adventures of Hugh Glass.

Yeah, I know. It had something about the language on the packaging. But, still I wonder what it would have been like without it. Still, it WAS a compelling movie with Leonardo DiCaprio as the man hunting the trappers who leave him for dead after he is attacked by a grizzly. If you like a revenge movie, this is it!

In my opinion Innaritu is one of the best directors working in Hollywood today. The Revenant is another excellent film from this director. DiCaprio and Hardy are excellent and the cinematography is gorgeous. A very intense film. If you already own 4K blu ray I would say this is one title worth making the upgrade.

This is a great movie that is well cast and well acted. The filmaking is really top notch as well. Much of the principle photography is done close up with extreme wide angle lenses so you almost fell like your part of the scene. This is the 3rd time I submitted a review some I'm hoping this one finally sticks!!!

Intense. Immersive. Gorgeously and hauntingly photographed. It's almost uncomfortable to watch at times because you get such a sense of what the protagonist's experience would be like. And it would be torture. Superb art direction. Superb direction all-around. Very well-acted. I highly recommend this film.

The movie is shot wonderfully. Though some would say it is long and some scenery shots weren't needed but I oppose that view. The director and producer were trying to make you feel certain ways at different points and for me, they did it very well. I simply had a great time overall watching it.

Great Buy at a GREAT Price.Looks so much better in 4K. Couldn’t find a better price anywhere .Just added a new player and this is a awesome movie on the big screen .

This film, story aside, is the most visually appealing film to come out in ages. The cinematography is perfect for showing exactly what 4K televisions are capable of! The story is a slow journey, but ultimately one that will keep you enthralled throughout. Pick this up when you upgrade to 4K and thank me later!

Must have movie for the enthusiast of portrayals of life in the late 1800s northwest wilderness. Leonardo DiCaprio is excellent as the main character betrayed by members of his party. The cinematography is stunning and spectacular and nearly steals the show. You will not want to pause this movie for a break.

Everything is awesome. Read the book first it is a great book with a lot more detail than the movie so the story varies but is still good. A beautiful movie. Not for the squeamish. It starts out with a bad turn of events and goes down hill from there. Again the book is a great companion to seeing the movie.

I saw this film in theaters and loved its intensity in action-packed moments and appreciated the incredible settings in the quiet moments. After purchasing a new 4k TV and 4k Blu-Ray player, I knew this was the first movie I should watch in my new home theater, and it did NOT disappoint!

Loosely based on a true story, the son was not murdered by one of Hugh Glass' fellow hunters. It seems he sought revenge because they left him for dead after a bear attack and took his beloved firearm. However, the ordeal this man went through to get back to civilization was awe inspiring to say the least.

I had heard so many good things about this movie but I really wanted to judge it for myself. After watching it, i was left with a huge smile on my face. The way the story is told and presented seems very fresh and with the intention to be different. I was blown away with the affects and with the acting !!!

This film gripped me from start to finish. It's based on a true story but it sometimes dances between reality and a dream. The acting is at a crazy level and the camerawork is amazing (all natural light, a feat in itself and check out the results...). Definitely worth a watch. Maybe not for everyone tho.

I think this is a great movie. The movie I believe reflects pretty close to how Hugh Glass was injured and survived. Now the movie takes large liberties with the facts. None the less the movie is enthralling. Dicaprio deserved the oscar. The documentary on the making of the film is worth watching as well.

The Revenant is a long film, but its a testament to how great it is that the movie blows by at a quick pace. Everyone in front of and behind the camera are at the top of their game and at their best. The visuals are simply stunning, the acting top notch. This is a movie that has to be seen. A masterpiece.

I wanted to begin by saying the cinematography is some of the best I have ever seen. They did a fantastic job of making you feel like you're there. Of course I can't forget to mention that the performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy were phenomenal. Check this one out. You won't be disappointed.
